Library Visit by MGO Duftanker is an olfactive fragrance for men and women. The nose behind this creation is Hans Georg Staudt. The top notes unfold leather, civet, tobacco and heliotrope; the heart reveals a harmony of leather, cedar, woody notes, saffron, olibanum frankincense, amber and labdanum; while the base notes settle on white musk, Himalayan cedar, musk, sandalwood, soap, olibanum frankincense, benzoin and oakmoss.

Once again, a fragrance that deserved more success, from a brand that needed it too, by a perfumer seeking greater recognition. It makes one think of all the perfumes and creators who are lost without fame, while others, inflated by hype, sell more than they should. The opening is wonderful, dominated by leather, civet, and floral notes, before shifting into a medley of scents with a dry-down where I mainly detect wood and natural musk. Despite having many components, some very potent, it always feels beautifully orchestrated and controlled. All its notes smell very natural.
