  1. I love that fresh opening, reminiscent of vetiver, with a complex blend smelling of dark forest pine, not like air freshener. You can detect the fruit and the spicy pink pepper, though the balsamic benzoin is barely noticeable. The wormwood acidity is definitely there. In the heart, leather and cumin dominate with a watery touch, while the base has something luminous and floral. It doesn’t yet smell of incense, oud, musk, or tobacco; the patchouli is heavily masked by the leather. There’s no cinnamon or amber. What I like most is how different and conceptual it is—it’s animalic and wild, but perhaps not for daily wear, especially given the price. One oil doesn’t quite fit; I think it’s the pepper, which is very strong in this phase with an algal afternote. The potency is below the Light version, projecting less but nothing serious, although longevity drops to around 6 or 7 hours. In the end, as it fades, you notice a somewhat chocolatey, earthy oud, Western-style, perhaps artificial, similar to other low-priced fragrances that dry down the same way.
