Mylène Alran
Mylène Alran is a French perfumer born in Albi, a city in the south of France. She grew up in a region known for its lush landscapes and green forests, and developed an affinity for nature and its aromas at an early age. She obtained a degree in chemistry, which gave her a solid foundation for understanding the science behind fragrances.
After completing her chemistry studies, she joined Robertet, where she learned the art of perfumery under the guidance of master perfumer Jacques Flori. Afterwards, she came to the attention of Drom, a fragrance house, and went on to work with them, honing her skills and developing her style.
Her inspirations come from her love of nature, fashion and travel. Her upbringing in the south-west of France and her trips to Morocco and Cuba have influenced her creative process. Mylène’s perfumes often feature raw materials from wooded sources, incorporating deep and earthy notes that give her fragrances a solid impact.
Her approach to creating perfumes is characterised by elegance, contrast and ambiguity. She explores the masculine side of ingredients traditionally associated with the feminine, such as ambrette and rose, seeking a balance between aromas. Her creations show her knowledge of classic fragrances and a bold, innovative spirit.
