Very aromatic; it reminds me a lot of Armani Code Homme, creamy vanilla style from the 2000s. The second one I liked most of the four, behind Sunrise.
A clone of Tam Dao, at least in the dry-down. I own the Diptyque and, without testing it on skin, I can already say it’s very similar. I’ll test it properly, but I’m sure I’ll take it (I only have 5% of Tam Dao left and feel bad spending it).
I went to the store; they only had this and Full Moon Over the Desert. The latter is leather, and Zara handles it poorly; it reminds me of True Leather but sweeter. Back to the main topic: Evening Safari Drive is lovely. It opens with aromatic conifers and settles into a sandalwood that closely resembles Santal 33 (as the YouTubers say). The base is sweeter. Trail is moderate-to-notable and lasts at least 8 hours. I’m not buying it because I already own plenty of sandalwoods, but it’s worth it and will delight wood lovers. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Trail 8/10, Value for money 8.5/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it? No, I didn’t.
Very good for hot days. Smells like eucalyptus and pine forests near the beaches of Chile, that fresh coastal climate. Not for me (17 years old); I recommend it from age 23 onwards.
Very good for hot days. Smells like eucalyptus and pine forests near the beaches of Chile, that fresh coastal climate. Not for me (17 years old); I recommend it from age 23 onwards. It smells like what my dad buys at the terminal.
What a beautiful perfume. Pure sandalwood, herbal and aromatic opening, creamy dry-down, subtly spiced and sweet. The balance is exquisite. It’s not heavy or opulent; even non-wood lovers might enjoy it. In the dry-down, it vaguely recalls other sandalwoods, like Santal 33 or Gris Charnel, but mostly Tam Dao by Diptyque (which I own, though I can’t compare them side by side). Lasts about 8 hours on skin, with moderate-to-low projection and trail. At 15 euros… I wouldn’t even think about it.
What a cool perfume. Full-on sandalwood, with a herbal and aromatic opening that dries down to a creamy, subtly spiced and sweet finish. The olfactory balance is exquisite; it’s neither heavy nor opulent, and even those who aren’t fans of woody scents might enjoy it. As it dries, it vaguely recalls other sandalwoods like Le Labo’s Santal 33 or, more so, BDK’s Gris Charnel, though it certainly smells a lot like Diptyque’s Tam Dao (I’ve heard of it but don’t own it, so I can’t compare them side by side). Lasts around eight hours on skin, with moderate, almost low projection and sillage. At the current price (€15)… I wouldn’t even consider it.
I love that resinous scent it leaves on the skin… It reminds me quite a bit of hashish. Truth be told, it’s the kind of perfume where all you can ask for is stronger projection and longevity. As for quality, it’s a very pleasant fragrance. I’d recommend it wholeheartedly, though it’s clear it’s for someone who doesn’t want to smell like the majority.
I love that resinous touch when applied; it smells like hashish. It’s truly pleasant, but it lacks projection and longevity. The quality is good. I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to smell like everyone else.
Interesting, but it doesn’t work for me in the heat. In autumn, it’s another world entirely: an autumnal forest in a bottle.
Oh my god! This fragrance is spectacular. It breaks away from the sweet aromas we’re used to and feels like a complex, high-quality combination. I bought it because I read it was similar to Santal 33, and it certainly is; it’s very close. It smells spicy, talc-like, evoking incense. It makes me feel as though I’m in the Middle East. It’s a more mature, sophisticated scent with great presence. Friends ask me about my perfume and enjoy it when we hug, haha. It works best in fresh environments between 23-27°C. On very hot days it definitely doesn’t work because a spicy note intensifies too much and throws the balance off.
Oh my goodness! This fragrance is a beast. It steers clear of sweetness, leaving you with a complex, premium blend. I bought it on the rumours that it’s a clone of Santal 33, and they weren’t lying: it’s almost identical. Spiced, talc-like, pure incense notes. It transports me to the Middle East. It’s mature, sophisticated, and has a strong presence. My friends love it when we hug. Note: it shines in fresh conditions (23-27°C). In extreme heat, it becomes unbalanced due to an excess of spices.
