Perfumes de Russian Adam

Born and raised in Moscow, Russian Adam, whose real name is Adam, has made a name for himself in the world of perfumery. He was introduced to Islam while studying English in Australia around 10 years ago. Adam’s friends from Saudi Arabia provided him with a deeper understanding of the religion, which ultimately led to his conversion to Islam. This turning point in his life also marked the beginning of his passion for perfumes.

Adam’s love of perfumes led him to acquire a vast collection of Arabic perfumes, pure oud oils and attars. He began sharing his collection by selling his own perfumes on eBay and working with his friend Sultan Pasha on blending pure oud and attars in London. Over the years, Adam has distilled almost one hundred different types of pure and high-quality agarwood oils through his oud distillery, Feel Oud, in Indonesia. He has also created several popular fragrances through his brand Areej Le Doré, including Baikal Gris, Russian Oud, Russian Musk and Oud Luwak.

Adam’s fascination with the art of the “olfactory renaissance of agarwood” led him to experiment with various distillation techniques, focusing on the impact of tiny changes in the final product. This allowed him to manipulate the distillation process to achieve the desired effects, using a single ingredient, agarwood, as his medium.

However, Adam’s desire to create more complex pieces of art led him to expand his repertoire, incorporating a broader range of exclusive and rare ingredients into his brand, Areej Le Doré. His unique approach to perfume creation includes the use of innovative methods such as distilling sandalwood with Zamzam water, a blessed water source from Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and the use of flower hydrosols in the distillation process.

Adam’s inspiration for his perfume creations comes from his passion for classic Indian attars and their traditional distillation processes. This is evident in his latest collection, The History of Attar. It is inspired by classic Indian attars and features alcohol-based perfumes with additional notes and ingredients to enhance his compositions.

Adam’s journey in the world of perfumery has been marked by his love of Islam, oud and traditional distillation methods. His dedication to creating unique and innovative fragrances using rare and exclusive ingredients has earned him a well-deserved reputation in the industry.
