Perfumer
Sileno Cheloni
Sileno Cheloni is an internationally renowned perfumer who felt a deep passion for the art of fragrances from an early age. As he grew up, he was drawn into the world of aromas and embarked on an educational journey that would give him the necessary foundation to excel in his craft. Cheloni studied the complexities of perfume creation, exploring the scientific and artistic aspects of the field, which later shaped his unique approach to perfumery.
"As my color: peaceful blue. My religion is either white or black in the products and in my clothes, but peaceful blue is the colour of a gloomy sky. A little like I feel myself. Not gloomy because of the colour of the sky, but because it seems thoughtful, just like I am, always in my thoughts. Sometimes I find myself alone in a healthy solitude, isolated. I am quite within myself, introverted, despite the fact that my work has to do with people and I have to express myself. But in my private life, I would say peaceful blue". - Sileno Cheloni
Sileno Cheloni’s career is characterised by his dedication to the art of fragrances. He has travelled extensively between East and West, sourcing the rarest raw materials and creating an "olfactory library" of more than two thousand refined essences. Cheloni’s pursuit of excellence and innovation has led to the establishment of his own laboratory in the heart of Florence, where he continues to create fragrances.
Some of his most popular fragrances include A La Russe Rouge, Aquaflor Firenze La Habana and Aquaflor Firenze Aphrodisya.
Cheloni takes into account the emotional and spiritual aspects of scent. He believes that perfumes serve as a means of self-discovery, allowing individuals to reconnect with their inner being and awaken hidden memories. This philosophy informs his creative process and guides him in developing fragrances that evoke powerful emotions.
His inspirations are rooted in his travels, his appreciation of the ritual aspects of life, and his connection with the natural world. He is particularly drawn to the colour "peaceful blue", which symbolises his introspective nature and reflects the meditative quality of his work.
