Tres Nuit by Armaf

A classic herbal aroma, very similar to what my grandfather used. It’s not youthful, has woody notes, and is more suited to an older man. It’s usually a good price and lasts quite a while, but the truth is it’s not my style. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I loved it. They said it resembles Creed’s Green Irish Tweed, and I bought it for that reason because I adore GIT. At first, it smells incredibly similar, but as it dries down, it’s less so. A friend who owns the GIT confirmed the same: very similar opening, different dry down. Anyway, for me, it was excellent. A blind buy without regrets; even if it runs out, I’d buy it again. At $20, it was an incredible acquisition. It lasts quite a while on the skin: I could still smell it at 10 pm, though you have to get close. Everyone who tried it liked it. If you find it for $20 or less, I highly recommend buying it.

I’m finishing a bottle of Tres Nuit. It’s very green at first, then becomes dusty and creamy due to the sandalwood. It feels generic and I had higher expectations. I feel it would please everyone, but my girlfriend can’t stand it; it must be the iris or the violet.

If you came thinking that €20 gets you a Green Irish Tweed, you’re mistaken. Don’t spend money on perfumes that claim to resemble it; you’ll buy them all and none will give you the satisfaction of the GIT. I own Cool Water, Aspen, Tres Nuit, and one from Esenzzia, and none come close to the splendour of the original. Although Cool Water doesn’t resemble it, if you buy it you won’t regret it: it smells good for after a shower, though it doesn’t last. The Tres Nuit, applied on skin and clothes, has low longevity and leaves a synthetic scent on the clothes that eventually annoys me. It’s identical to the Esenzzia one. If you truly like the GIT, don’t waste money on imitations; you’d spend all that money on the exorbitant price of the original, which is exclusive and has nothing to compare it to.

Citrus, floral, and marine. It’s clean, pleasant, versatile, and wearable. When I don’t want to think for the day or the night, I use this or Eros EDP. It smells rich, but I find it a bit flat and lacking character. I don’t know how much it will truly resemble the GIT, but I’d like to think the Creed version has a more distinctive air. Performance is satisfactory.

“To be wise is to correct oneself.” I wouldn’t call myself wise for changing my mind, but I am honest: I completely changed my opinion on THIS and NOT FOR THE BETTER. After an initially positive review, I had to take it down seeing how it developed in different situations. I bought Trés Nuit blindly, and after several tests, I must say I DON’T LIKE IT. At first, it smells similar to Creed Green Irish Tweed, but it moves away from being fresh and luminous, turning dark, damp, fungal, and salty. Literally, it smells like natural mushrooms seasoned with coarse salt, a disagreeable sensation. If Creed is a morning walk through green Irish meadows, THIS is descending into a dark, gloomy sea cave, full of strange fungi and an unpleasant salty odour. In short, like swapping ‘Babieca’ for ‘Rocinante’. I consider ARMAF a mediocre house among Arabic perfumes; everything I’ve tried has displeased me. I suppose there’s no choice but to buy Green Irish Tweed to smell it. I don’t know of a decent clone. One learns from everything. I now know ARMAF isn’t for me.

The person below said it ‘smells salty’ and honestly, I hadn’t noticed, but it is true. It doesn’t smell of iris, at least from my point of view, on the 2023 bottle I used. Personally, I don’t like it. It smells like a generic fragrance, slightly feminine, with chemical floral notes, something similar to what you’d smell in a cream or powder.

This is an ARMAF bomb, with explosive longevity of over 24 hours 🙆🏻♂️ and a super potent trail that fills the room. It’s a very fine perfume, with notes of spices, sandalwood, and flowers that elevate it 🤩. It’s one of those ‘pants-down’ scents 😂😂😂 that drive women crazy. You can buy it with your eyes closed. Highly recommended 1000 x 1000 🕉️🕉️🕉️

Bought blindly based on references on YouTube, TikTok, etc… I think it was a mistake. I bought it on eBay as Arabic perfumes are just starting to gain recognition in my country (Paraguay 🇵🇾). Here you only find Club de Nuit Intense, 9 PM, Yara, and so on… anyway… my first impression was: RECENTLY CLEANED PUBLIC TOILET. Imagine those bathrooms, the stinging smell of synthetic lemon air freshener that makes you tear up, and in the background, the lavender from the toilet tablets. That situation reminded me of the first time I used it. I don’t know if it’s my pH or just my impression… it generated a couple of compliments. I don’t plan to throw it away; selling it here, no one buys ‘used perfumes’, and my older children are 15, so I consider it definitely for over 30s. I have no choice but to use it for the office. I won’t buy it again, nor as a gift.

Exquisite scent, bought blindly and got it right; for me, a citrus/fruity aroma.

A green aroma of spring meadows. It brings that happiness that arrives with the good weather.

Forget this one and buy L’Aventure Knight by Al Haramain instead; let me know what you think afterwards. Nothing more.

I’ve already tried GIT, CW, and Tres Nuit. Tres Nuit is the one that resembles GIT most without copying it. GIT is superior to all its clones, although its price is outrageous. If you can afford it, buy it; if not, get Tres Nuit, it’s 95% similar and at a ridiculous price. CW sounds more marine and invasive. In summary: Tres Nuit is a great clone of GIT, good price, nice presentation, and average longevity (4-5 hours). These perfumes make you want to use them for aromatherapy; they are so relaxing.

I’ll give the same opinion for Davidoff Cool Water and Armaf Tres Nuit. To me, they are quite similar, although they have different nuances; both the opening and dry down follow similar lines. The truth is, I don’t like either. Tres Nuit was a blind buy (I couldn’t try it before), whereas Cool Water I had already tested. I bought it online too and didn’t remember it like this. In both, I don’t like the openings (I expected them to be more citrusy) nor their developments (they end up clean but flat, without nuances or addictiveness). I’ll try them in the heat, but I don’t trust it will change my mind, so I doubt I’ll buy them again. I recommend testing them properly before purchasing. I think both have been helped by a false hype that positions them as clones of Creed Green Irish Tweed. So far I haven’t tried Creed, but I’ll put my hand on my heart: it’s impossible for GIT to have anything to do with these two. In my case, the mistake was thinking they were citrus or marine because I didn’t read other reviews and note descriptions carefully.

Very pleasant opening; reminds me of Cool Water at first, then takes another path with iris, lavender, and violet. It lasted quite a bit on my skin: I sprayed it three times in the morning and at 10 pm it was still there, although I had showered and could still smell it. It might be cerebral but it was in projection; it could have lasted 2 or 3 hours on the street and open spaces, so I’m not sure how much it reached people. If I compare it with Raghba by Lattafa, they are identical in opening for the first 30 minutes, then they go down different paths, but this one lasted longer than Raghba.
