DKNY Be Tempted by Donna Karan

Definitely one of my favourite fragrances. It smells sweet and caramelised, yet isn’t heavy; it sits very elegantly on the skin. Although I think it’s better suited to cold weather or for evening wear, it lasts a long time on clothes and leaves a huge trail.

Be Tempted by DKNY is my number one fragrance, a 10/10. Personally, I prefer citrus scents, like Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana, because sweets give me facial reactions, but this is everything you’re looking for: an intense and exquisite blend of red fruits and caramelised apples, sweet and tart at the same time. It’s a sweet spot, not cloying or uncomfortable. It’s sensual and seductive; people always compliment it. I wear it at night, in winter, autumn, and for special occasions. It’s pricey, but if you want to try something different from citrus and venture into something sweet, it’s your option.

It tastes good, but on my skin it fades in a jiffy and doesn’t feel high quality; I regret the spend and doubt I’ll buy from DK again.

Totally tempted. Be Tempted by DKNY lives up to its name. The temptation starts immediately: an intense blend of red fruits and caramelised apples, sweet and tart at the same time. It’s a sweet spot, not cloying. On my skin, it loses intensity after 15-20 minutes, and then the florals emerge: a ripe rose wrapped in warm vanilla and a softly talc-dusted violet. They provide an interesting base twist, cutting the initial sweetness and adding, along with a very present myrrh, greater depth and sensuality. Like luli.sosabe noted, at certain moments medicinal and herbal notes are noticeable, especially at the end where the patchouli adds bitter touches that, in my opinion, make it more mysterious. It has a wide trail at first and then fades to moderate. On my skin, it lasts about 5 hours. I wear it in the evenings and in autumn-winter. Sincerely, I loved it: it’s very feminine, super striking, enigmatic, sensual and deep. I’m glad to have it.

It’s exactly as the page says: fruity, sweet, intense, with trail and longevity, perhaps a bit strong. I feel it has something of champagne, like 212 VIP Rosé, I’m not saying they’re similar, but it smells like that style. I like it a lot but I don’t love it; there’s something about its notes that doesn’t quite convince me to give it a 10. In my opinion, it’s a very good perfume. I feel it’s for night due to its intensity, but sometimes I wear it during the day and feel it suits the day more; I don’t know how to explain it. I think it’s one of those perfumes you have to try and not buy blindly because it can be overwhelming for some people.

It’s a delight, with great sillage and longevity. The sweet note is very well balanced, and I think it’s ideal for evening wear.

It reminds me a lot of designer perfume styles, with good sillage and a fair price. It smells of myrrh with a sugared apple, and initially a very sweet, pleasant lemon.

It’s sweet and fruity but restrained. It’s not cloying; it blends with a herbal, medicinal, and bitter note that lingers. Upon application, it has a strong presence, then softens but remains noticeable. The sillage is moderate: it projects well without being overwhelming, even at work. I think it’s quite an evening scent, ideal for going out or when you need a boost. I like it, although I prefer florals. It’s not super memorable, but I love having it in my collection. I recommend it, especially if you find it on offer.

I’ve tried Donna Karan’s Green Apple, Pink Apple, and Fresh Blossom. This is by far the sweetest. It’s warm, sweet, and lasts a long time, making it good for autumn and winter. It’s quite striking and attracts attention. My favourite remains the Green Apple; I wouldn’t swap it for anything.

It smells delicious, like warm caramelised apple. Very tasty, with just enough sweetness so it doesn’t bother you.

A cheerful substitute for something trying to imitate it: a mix of red fruits, sweetness, and a substance aiming to be more pleasant than the original. Longevity and sillage are low in cold weather; it’s not a great perfume but also not shocking, which is why it’s cheap.

Enchanting, it drives the opposite sex crazy, surely because of the patchouli. It’s charming, reminiscent of Petite Robe Noire, with licorice adding a nocturnal, dense, and slightly tipsy touch without losing the juicy fruity sweetness of the opening. Performance and longevity are magnificent.

Sweet, sensual, and nocturnal. Good longevity. A very seductive spiced apple. I receive many compliments from men. Ideal for autumn and winter, it becomes very warm. A beautiful gourmand that will stay in my collection.

It reminds me a lot of Cartier’s Delices, another red apple from 2008. It was my first scent and I recognised it immediately; a good option to replace this one, which I believe is discontinued. However, it seems too sweet, like sugary soft drinks for children. I don’t crave sweetness as much as before, but it’s delicious for those who do; not suitable for diabetics.

It’s a warm, very sensual aroma of red fruits. The bottle perfectly expresses the essence of the contents. To be honest, I was quite surprised; I wasn’t expecting much of another Donna Karan apple, but this one has pleased me greatly. Perfect for autumn and winter, day or night. It’s quite sweet and the myrrh gives it a very sexy touch. The red berries don’t feel acidic but are sweetened by the cassis, licorice and vanilla. On my skin it had a good trail for the first two hours, after which it fades until it disappears within about six hours.
