The opening is sweet, dry, and ambered, very pleasant. It has that note of opening a bag of fine tobacco, with that strong, spicy touch of shade-cured leaves. It’s interesting though it feels a little linear.
Disappointed. I bought it blindly based on the good reviews. On me, it’s neither intense, nor dark, nor exclusive. It smells good but nothing extraordinary. I prefer its adopted brother. I’ll use it, but when it runs out, I won’t be buying it again.
Today with fresh weather in Buenos Aires and testing it, I must say it smells very good. The opening is citrusy, dry, and a little sweet. Someone said it smells like opening a bag of fine tobacco and they’re right. As a pipe smoker, it’s very similar to black Virginia tobacco… rich, sweet, and with a smoky sensation (even though it’s not declared). It’s like when you open a pouch of tobacco and the aroma fills the house like an air freshener. Masculine and delicious. Good perfume and excellent price, with moderate to lasting longevity and a moderate trail.
The dry-down reminds me a lot of Armani Code Profumo, though with a tobacco accord and slightly less intensity. I think it’s a good perfume for its price. Scent 9, longevity 8, trail 6, value for money 10, overall impression 8.
Similar to Carolina Herrera 212 VIP but be careful, it’s not the same. The tobacco note is quite noticeable. Longevity doesn’t last more than two hours; it’s best worn and reapplied at least twice a day.
If you’re looking for something similar to 212 VIP without a doubt, Natura Amò is the most faithful. It’s the clone at an unbeatable price. Either you buy the 100ml 212 VIP or, spending the same amount, you get five 75ml bottles of Natura Amò. Excellent option.
This is the fragrance that has brought me the most compliments. The price is unbeatable and super economical. I’d buy it a thousand times; it will always have a place in my collection. I give it 10 across the board.
Delicious. Smells like Carolina Herrera 212 VIP but with a juicier, more elegant opening. Once it dries down, it’s 98% identical to the original. The trail and longevity are similar, perhaps a tiny bit shorter. As with everything from Zara, the price is a steal, though the longevity isn’t eternal. For around $18, it’s worth it if you can’t afford the original. Verdict: Scent 9.5/10, trail 7/10, longevity 7/10, price 10/10. Final score 8.3. If 212 VIP is too pricey, this is the best option.
The first time I tried it, I wrote a very bad review and deleted it, but I’m ready to describe it again. The truth is I didn’t like it much at first; it didn’t smell bad, but with videos calling it a delight, I kept using it and it’s grown on me more and more. It doesn’t drive me crazy, but I no longer dislike it. I feel it as aldehydic with tobacco notes and something sweet without being cloying. They say it’s the clone of 212 VIP, but I’ve never tried the original so I don’t know. To get a moderate trail, you need to be generous with the sprays; I apply 6-8 and it lasts 4-6 hours, projecting for the first hour and a half, max two arm-lengths. Should I recommend it? Yes, but I always say to test it at Zara first and see how it goes for you. It’s economical and you can’t expect it to perform like a £40 one, but yes, it’s worth it. My advice is to buy it in a pack with the other; it comes to about £17.95.
The first time I tried it, I wrote a very bad review of this Zara fragrance, deleted it and now I’m returning to share my experiences. The truth is, the first time I didn’t like it much; it didn’t smell bad, but it wasn’t a delight as the videos claimed. Well no, friends, as I continued to wear it, I started to like it more and more. It doesn’t drive me mad, but it no longer disgusts me. I detect it as slightly boozy with tobacco notes and something sweet without being cloying. They say it’s a clone of Carolina Herrera 212 VIP, but I’ve never tried the other one, so I don’t know. To achieve a moderate trail, you need to be generous with the sprays; I apply 6-8 and it lasts 4-6 hours, projecting for the first hour and a half at most two arm’s length. Would I recommend it? Yes, but I always say to try it first in a Zara store and see how it goes for you. It’s economical and you can’t expect it to perform like a €40 fragrance, but yes, it’s worth it. My advice is to buy it in a pack with the other one; it comes to around €17.95.
I’ve already received several compliments with this fragrance; it was a blind buy thanks to the good comments on Zara’s Tobacco collection. On my skin, it has had excellent performance. It’s very similar to 212 VIP, but as it dries down, I feel it’s more mature, dark, and less youthful. PS: I think I’ll buy another bottle before they discontinue it or alter its composition (Zara are specialists in this).
I bought it yesterday, it was a blind purchase based on the reviews recently circulating on social media. The first impression is good, it has a nice opening and reminds me a lot of Jesús del Pozo’s Halloween Man. In the end, after two hours on my skin, it leaves a faint resemblance to CH 212 VIP. If your expectations are high regarding longevity and trail, you must bear in mind that it’s not the case. However, in terms of price-to-performance, this perfume delivers on the three B’s: good, beautiful and cheap.
I picked it up yesterday, a blind buy based on the reviews circulating on social media. The first impression is good, it has a nice opening, and it reminds me a lot of Halloween Man by Jesús del Pozo. In the end, after two hours on the skin, it leaves a faint resemblance to 212 VIP by CH. If you’re expecting beastly longevity and projection, count on the fact that it’s not like that. But in terms of price-performance, it ticks the three B’s: Good, Beautiful, and Cheap.
I bought the pack with this fragrance and the Rich Warm Addictive from 2016 yesterday. Let me tell you, the Intense Dark Exclusive smells identical to Joop Wild Homme, which also carries rum. The only thing I can confirm is that Joop Wild lasts longer and is more potent.
Lately, I’ve been trying low-cost fragrances, and honestly, they haven’t let me down; some have even caught me off guard. With this Zara Tobacco Intense Dark Exclusive, it smells good, although it’s not a rocket in terms of projection, it is noticeable. You have to reapply every 2 or 3 hours because the trail is very subtle. It reminds me of 212 VIP, but this one hooks me more… they’re not identical, they follow the same line. It would be great if it were more potent and long-lasting, and for the price, it’s a mistake not to have it. I’ll buy another because I liked it, and since it runs out quickly due to reapplications, I think they designed it that way to keep you buying. Scent: 8.0, Projection: 4.0, Longevity: 6-8h max (4-5h on the skin).
It smells like some dried herb I can’t quite decipher; I think it’s marjoram. It’s pleasant and unusual, not a typical perfume. At first, it’s more masculine, but as it dries down, it becomes totally unisex. Pity that in the end, it gives me a headache.
It caught me by surprise: I wore it with Roch Warm Addictive (a total disappointment) and this one was a hit. It’s very masculine, fresh, and woody, with nothing outdated. The fixative and trail could be improved, but for the price, it’s worth it.
It doesn’t quite reach the level of its sibling, RWA, but it’s a pleasant fragrance that makes you glad you’re wearing it, very close to 212 VIP in scent and performance. It projects well for the first six hours. What stands out most is the apple with tonka bean and a touch of tobacco, which complement without stealing the show. It feels more youthful than adult, ideal for fresh days and nights, spring and autumn. Good buy, though a bit generic.
At first, it didn’t take my fancy, but once I put it on, I was hooked. I absolutely love the tobacco note. The only downside is that on my skin, it fades in three hours.
It doesn’t smell identical to 212 Vip, but it’s very close; it’s a top option at a ridiculous price, especially since it comes as a duo with RWA, which is the king of Zara for me. Average performance. The 212 Vip scent is already well-known, so its mass appeal is obvious, and in my opinion, it loses freshness over the years; it’s not timeless like Versace Pour Homme, for example. Totally worth it for the quality-price ratio. God’s plan 🦉
It’s simply very good, tobacco/apple.
These are first impressions, not a full review. In my country, it’s spring with 30 degrees, so I won’t test it thoroughly, but I have used it on nights after bathing. What I perceive most is the tobacco and a fresh fruity note, which I assume is the apple, supported by a non-intrusive vanilla (I appreciate it, as it’s not one of my favourite notes). In the initial, mid, and final phases, what stands out is the tobacco and vanilla, making it hard to distinguish other notes, although a very attenuated fresh touch is still felt. I think it’s a good option for winter, intermediate seasons, and summer nights below 25 degrees; that fresh touch makes it more versatile. It lasted about 6 hours with 3 or 4 sprays and projects moderately for at least 1 or 2 hours. I will test it more to properly evaluate the performance, but given the price and the mentioned performance, I am satisfied. I liked it quite a bit from the first spray, and that initial fresh touch gives it a plus that I adored.
I own many Zara perfumes, and the Tobacco collection is my favourite.
For the price, you can’t expect more. In two words: dispensable yet pleasant. You need to apply 15-20 sprays to skin and clothes to generate a trail, but it projects no more than a metre. With that, after 30 minutes, it sits close to the skin. I insist, for the price, you can’t ask for more; you’ll need to reapply every 1-2 hours. The aroma is very good: tobacco, apple, and a hint of mint. Final note: 7/10
For the price, you can’t ask for more: it’s dispensable but pleasant. You need to apply 15-20 sprays to skin and clothes to get a trail, though it won’t project beyond a metre. Fresh and masculine fragrance from the start, with green apple and pepper as the stars. As it dries down, its herbal character of freshly cut green tobacco emerges, with a slight underlying sweetness. Performance is average; it lasted me over 8 hours with good intensity, though its weak point is the projection. In my opinion, it’s a daily wear and very enjoyable in any weather. I was gifted it, and it has taken the top spot in my collection…
An aroma practically identical to Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP. Like all Zara perfumes, quality comes with a low price, but they offer good taste.
It bears no resemblance to 212 VIP.
Lovely aroma with good longevity of 5 to 6 hours, but it has become very similar to CH 212 VIP MEN, lacking the passionfruit note.
It tries to copy 212 VIP MEN; it has distinct nuances but remains very similar. Smells great, it’s masculine, and for the price, you can’t ask for more. It has low projection, making it less invasive than the original, which can be overwhelming. It’s softer; up close, it offers surprises in hugs depending on the skin. For me, it was only noticeable from very close range. I give it 8 for the price and the scent. It’s a very well-executed replica with slight differences that aren’t bad. The only downside is the projection. It’s a daily wear for winter.
It’s a clone of Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP MEN, or at least it captures the DNA perfectly. Smells lovely for winter with a discreet trail. Notes of green apple and tobacco. A cheap option for the cold. 7/10
