Among the latest Zara Tobacco fragrances, I still prefer the Rich Warm Addictive, but of the two, this Dark Intense is the one that hooks me the most. It opens with a brutal cinnamon top and leaves a patchouli base. It’s sweet, though less so than the Addictive, with a spiced touch. Very wearable with temperatures of 20 degrees or less. My last great find that’s not yet in the Fragrantica database is the Zara 420 Lincoln Road Miami Beach Florida. It’s addictive!
Among Zara Tobacco’s latest releases, I still prefer Rich Warm Addictive, but Dark Intense has truly won my heart. It opens with a potent cinnamon note and settles into patchouli. It’s sweet, though less so than Addictive, with a lovely spicy touch. It wears beautifully at 20 degrees or below. My absolute favourite discovery: Zara 420 Lincoln Road Miami Beach, Florida – it’s addictive and still missing from Fragrantica!
It’s identical to Desigual’s Oud Organza; I bought it without smelling it, and when it arrived, it reminded me of this one. I searched and compared, and they are the same.
The devil on my left shoulder whispers to you to lie and say it’s rubbish so I can buy the whole Zara stock, but the angel on my right is wearing this scent today and won’t let me do the evil plan. It’s a delight, long-lasting, and projects enormously. An intense, creamy, virtuous cinnamon thanks to the patchouli and sandalwood, a perfect chord, a C Major. Intoxicating, resounding, and versatile aroma. Ideal for cold seasons, day and night. If you see it, don’t hesitate. Or I myself will run out of stock. You’ve been warned. Regards, fragrance lovers.
The first time I tried it, I thought it was horrible. But something unique happened: that strong whisky smell got stuck in my head, and I realised days later that I was missing it. I went back to Zara, tried it again, and left with the bottle. It’s totally original and leaves no one indifferent. It has good projection and longevity, so much that I try not to spray it on clothes because it lasts all day or more. The intense whisky opening mellows out, leaving a delicious spiced base. Ideal for autumn-winter. Definitely one of the most original and recommended in Zara’s current catalogue.

Probably the best non-niche perfume that smells like liquor. If you like this type of aroma, it’s impressive. I’ve compared it with Bentley Uptown, and the Zara one projects more and lasts longer.
The last of the Zara Tobacco collection. Something strange happened to me: the moment I saw it, I wanted it, but when I finally got it, I left it forgotten in the wardrobe as if it didn’t interest me. Now, months later, I’ve rediscovered it and WOW, what a marvel. The opening is strong, dry, with a very present whisky. Then the alcohol disappears, leaving a warm, spiced aroma with mature, dry, spicy yet velvet tobacco. It lasts over 8 hours with a close and pleasant trail. It’s an outstanding launch. The last release in Zara’s Tobacco collection. Something peculiar happened: the moment I saw it, I wanted it, especially after loving the other fragrances in the group. It was out of stock online and in-store. When I finally managed to get it, I left it forgotten in the wardrobe, as if I didn’t want it, just to have it for the collection. Now, months later, I’ve rediscovered it and WOW, what a marvel; I absolutely adore it. The opening is fascinating: strong, dry, with a very prominent and distinct whisky note. The alcohol disappears quickly, revealing a warm, spiced scent with mature, dry, spicy yet velvety tobacco. Longevity is excellent, lasting over eight hours, with moderate and intimate sillage. I have nothing to say; it’s an outstanding launch. For more reviews, photos, and content, visit my Instagram JL_Perfumado or YouTube Perfúmate Con JL.
I managed to get a decant of this discontinued fragrance from a friend; the positive reviews made me hopeful, but it disappointed me. It’s that typical generic, artificial sweet blend: the tonka bean, which should provide a whisky touch, only results in excessive sweetness without character. The cinnamon is very present and synthetic. Of all the notes, the tobacco is the only one that saves it, approaching the level of Warm Black from the same house. The overall impression is a sweet, nonsensical mishmash. The opening is moderate to low, reaching half a metre with bursts for an hour and a half, before turning into a skin scent from the third or fourth hour, remaining only as a boozy patchouli base without the rest of the notes. Scent: 4/10 Longevity: 5/10 Projection: 6.8/10 Emotional Impact: Not Original: 2/10 Price: Discontinued Recommended: No
I managed to get a decant of this discontinued fragrance thanks to a friend, and although the reviews were good, it has disappointed me. It’s that generic, artificial sweet mix, with tonka vanilla that fails to deliver the expected whisky touch, staying only on the sweet side; the cinnamon is very marked and synthetic. Of the notes, only the tobacco saves it, approaching the level of Warm Black from the house. The sensation is a sweet mess without much sense. The opening is moderate-low, noticeable at half a metre with bursts for an hour and a half, then settling into a skin scent from the 3/4 mark, lasting a bit longer as a base of alcoholic patchouli without the rest of the notes. Scent: 4/10, Longevity: 5/10, Projection: 6.8/10, Emotional Impact: No, Originality: 2/10, Price: Discontinued, Recommended: Low.
Clearly inspired by Ambre Narguile and its clones, what stands out most is an extremely sweet honey; if it weren’t for the lack of that hammer-like texture (though it does last hours despite appearing to fade quickly), it could become cloying. As with most perfumes, the nuances are elusive and require imagination; there isn’t much solidity, realism, or clarity (and as one might expect, even less here given it’s a €15 perfume). So, adding a little flair, one could say this very sweet honey dessert has a hint of cinnamon, a touch of fruitiness like apple, and is lightly soaked in something alcoholic. And well, let’s admit that a few metres away there’s a box of tobacco, hehe. As I recall happens with other perfumes in this Zara collection, sometimes there’s a slight fresh burst (synthetic green apple?) that adds variation and that mass-market air that will be recognisable. The truth is, it’s not bad at all considering what it costs; obviously, those expecting the performance of a Tobacco Vanille or the naturalness of Ambre Narguile or Derviche… can keep waiting, hehe. I wouldn’t recommend it to those who consider these mentioned perfumes as minimum standards. I’m mentioning all this because many people create hype, try perfumes, and subsequently feel deeply disappointed because they can’t find that many budget options can replace their niches. I’m speaking between good and very good about a €13 perfume, let’s keep that in mind please.
