It’s identical to Dior Homme Intense: rich scent, slightly sweet, with an interesting leather opening. It would be excellent if it lasted longer, but on my skin and clothes, it lasts very little, about half an hour. The truth is, if a perfume doesn’t last even a morning, it’s not worth it.
I’ve had it for a while and use it with the fresh air of these days; that dark note isn’t for hot climates. People look for similarities with known perfumes. They’re right about the resemblance to Dior Homme Intense (it loses something without incense), but it does confirm its similarity to Valentino Uomo; after 15 minutes, they are practically identical. Each has its own DNA, although this Zara one is more artificial, with shorter longevity and projection, but it performs fantastically for the price. I like it quite a lot. The soft, creamy pepper is noticeable at first, without being irritating. Fresh without being sharp. After 15 minutes, the pepper hides behind the iris and cardamom, letting the amber and vetiver show through, giving it a masculine air despite the sweet floral development. That’s where the resemblance to Valentino and its hazelnut chocolate comes in. It doesn’t evolve much, it’s linear, but the scent is rich and sensual. Unsurpassed quality and price. I feel comfortable and clean, projecting decently for 2-3 hours with six applications. Recommended if you like unusual aromas. Try before you buy. Greetings, fragrance lovers. NOTE: Edit: five hours have passed. While I notice the sweet touch on my neck, on my elbow, where it has deteriorated more due to sweat, it smells more of cedar and vetiver. Very close to the skin, but interesting. EDIT: I’ve tried Dior Homme and it has more resemblance to this one than to Valentino. The iris hits hard.
Excellent for autumn and winter if you like a prominent iris. It’s closer to Valentino Uomo Intense (almost identical) than to Dior Homme. I applied it today at 06:40 and it was still perceptible at 19:00 (applied generously). An unbeatable autumn/winter jewel in terms of quality and price, provided you are a fan of powdery fragrances.
Excellent fragrance, ideal for autumn and winter, though wearable on cool nights. I don’t understand how some despise its longevity and projection simply because it’s from Zara, when they love Dolce & Gabbana The One or Ralph Lauren Polo. That brand fanaticism prevents them from being objective. I love it, although it’s a bit synthetic, less sweet and intrusive than Valentino Uomo. I notice less Irish moss and more juniper; it feels creamier. It’s a good option for £12.95 here in Seville.
A very elegant unisex fragrance with a predominant iris, in the style of Valentino Uomo. Longevity: 8.5, reaching ten hours on my skin. Projection: 9.5, projecting heavily for four hours in beast mode, then dropping very little. Versatility: 7, with winter and autumn as its seasons, as well as formal occasions. Scent: 8.5, very similar to Valentino Uomo, a bit more synthetic. Overall: 8.5, if you like iris, it’s a must. Projection and longevity are excellent. Highly recommended.
Without a doubt, this cologne has dented sales of Valentino Uomo or Dior Homme. At £12.95, I can’t even think of buying the previous ones. With complete freedom, I can apply ten sprays and receive compliments for eight hours. It’s the best cologne from Zara and a discovery jewel for its quality and price.
Excellent fragrance, good projection and very long-lasting, nine hours on my skin. Great purchase, especially at this price. I give it a 10/10.
If you like Carolina Herrera’s 212 MEN, this is your new favourite: you’ll receive the same compliments. It reminds me of Benetton’s Dreams Gold, but with a more potent and dominant opening. It’s not for the gym, but ideal for autumn and spring.
I wore it and received a compliment from a girl asking what brand that perfume was, as it smelled so delicious and was very noticeable. I told her it was from Zara and her astonishment was immense; she would have thought it was expensive. She said it smells very well and is noticeable from a distance, with a metre between us. Apart from that, I love the fragrance; it has a sweet touch and that iris means I never get tired of smelling or wearing it. I give it 7/10, with longevity over 6 hours and a noticeable trail of about a metre and a half for the first two hours.
I picked it up yesterday in a pack with the 8.0; I tried the other one and it disappointed me in every way, so don’t buy it as it’s rubbish and a waste of money. I haven’t tried this 9.0 yet, but the scent has already captivated me, and I know it will deliver because it’s been thoroughly proven. I’ll share my impressions later.
I’m surprised by the longevity, which others say lasts 9.0… it’s phenomenal! However, when I bought it months ago, it only lasted three hours despite eight sprays; in the end, it served as a car air freshener, and for that, it certainly delivered. It depends on the skin, but mediocre perfumes simply don’t last as long. That’s my personal opinion.
A tremendous fragrance with a good trail and longevity. Women love it very much.
What a lovely fragrance. Its scent is delicious, not just because of the smell but because when you sniff it, you practically taste it. The iris is soft yet noticeable; if it were fabric, it would be velvet. Beyond comparisons, the quality-to-price ratio here is a guaranteed 10. Zara making great fragrances.
A fragrance that calls for a suit to wear it. It’s elegant, formal and well-behaved. Average longevity for Zara, 3-5 hours on skin. Scent: 8/10, Longevity: 6/10, Projection: 6/10, Versatility: 6/10, Price: 10/10. It’s unisex.
It’s a good fragrance when dry; for the price, it’s decent, though nothing extraordinary. On my skin, vetiver and cedar dominate; the longevity is quite good, around 8 hours or more, with a moderate trail and on clothes, I’d say it lasts over a day. It’s sweet but not cloying, a more mature scent, gentlemanly in style. Some women love that; it’s not unpleasant and I recommend it for formal evening or serious occasions. My rating would be 7.5/10.
This fragrance is worth every penny. At first, I could not find its side, but when I gave it another chance with my nose, it was like discovering an oasis in the desert. It is an olfactory compliment, with class, harmony, and sensuality; it even smells of romance. It has that quality that compels you to keep sniffing it, which should be the goal of any essence. A formal aroma for a date; it will never look out of place. Very fine and refined, simply delicious.
For me, alongside VL, it is the best from Zara. It smells great, has a good trail, and lasts well. Highly recommended; it is certainly a gem.
I am surprised by the quality of Zara’s fragrances, especially given the low cost. This is another that has blown my mind. It is not something exquisite from another world, but for my untrained nose, it is remarkably similar to Dior Homme Intense. I detect iris, amber, cardamom, and cedar, and that is enough to make me smile every time I spray it. The evolution is soft and subtle, without harshness. The opening is slightly sweet, floral, and powdery; it lasts about 90 minutes before settling into the iris and woody strands wrapped in aromatic powder. It is a super bargain and an excellent option to substitute for Dior, leaving the latter for occasions requiring more refinement. Zara, do not stop surprising us.
Although it is often compared to Dior Homme and Valentino Uomo Intense, the resemblance is limited to the iris note and the concept. Here, the iris is accompanied by an amber and spicy sensation, with a citrus touch that provides the necessary discordant note for a very well-rounded aroma. Nothing stands out excessively; it smells like a perfect ensemble and is undoubtedly the brand’s finest offering. It is not suitable for elegant events, but it is excellent for cold-weather daily wear. Given its price, it should be in every collection. The performance is acceptable, so I recommend trying it.
If you are looking for something pleasant and usable for any autumn or winter occasion without overthinking it, this is a good option. The overall sensation is amber and iris: warm, clean, with an extra masculine touch from the cardamom; the rest of the notes are merely anecdotal. Pros: In the designer range, it points to high quality, with an amber note of better quality than expected, very versatile, and a good price. Cons: It does not stand out in any way; if you expect something unique, you will get bored quickly.
Pleasant. Velvet sensation, soft, a powdery wood without feeling dusty. The green notes prevent it from being too heavy. Fixation and sillage could be better, but it’s worth it for the price. Maybe I’ll try the intense version to see if it’s better.
A fragrance with a citrus opening that blends with a wonderful powdery note, followed by a sensational chocolatey sweetness. Lasts 3 hours on my skin! Lovely fragrance.
This fragrance is iris-based, soft, and super elegant. I consider it 100% unisex. The longevity is excellent; on my skin it lasts 8 hours comfortably, projecting very well for the first 2-3 hours. I will buy it again when I run out.
I won’t dwell on the scent, as it clearly draws inspiration from Dior Homme and Valentino Uomo. Obviously, it feels more synthetic and full of chemicals. But just as sometimes Zara’s are substitutes for more expensive ones, here there is another called Ungaro L’Homme that, for 20 euros, casts a long shadow over this Zara and the Dior/Valentino in terms of quality and scent, plus with less harmful ingredients for health. If we add that Zara usually has poor performance, my recommendation is to go for the Ungaro without a doubt. Au revoir!
The best fragrance from Zara right now, in my opinion. It’s true that it’s not as original as the RWA, which would be second, but it wins on versatility. It’s a designer-quality perfume at a ridiculous price. Performance is very good, 8 hours. Projects well for 2 hours and is present until halfway through its life. Very similar to Valentino (clearly an inspiration) with an amazing quality, a delicious iris+pepper combo, very unisex and versatile for all year round except hot days.
Zara 9.0: a solid proposal that you can still find in stores, which is rare given that Zara removes perfumes quickly. It’s an explosion of Dior Homme-style iris (I’m not saying they’re identical) with woods and a touch of sweetness without going overboard. It’s very dry, which is why it heads in the direction of Dior, not just because of the iris but in general. Both are dry with woods that remind you of the dust on planks after sawing them; that powdery sensation rounds off the star iris. Many compare the 9.0 to Dior Homme Intense and say they’re the same, and I couldn’t disagree more; the Intense doesn’t resemble it at all. As for the classic Homme, I understand the similarity, but I wouldn’t say they’re identical. They follow a common path (iris, dry, woods), but side by side they look sufficiently different. It lasts a long time on the skin, never dropping below 6 hours and reaching 8. Projection for a few hours with decent sillage. I’d use it in temperate-cold weather, day or night, very versatile. Not for sport, yes for work or a drink; you don’t need a suit to wear perfume 🤣. I recommend it if you like the Dior Homme line, iris, and dry perfumes. If you don’t have it, try it now, it’s been around too long without being discontinued. If you want more content, check out my YouTube channel: Perfúmate Con JL.
THE MOST ACCESSIBLE IRIS IN THE WORLD Few Zara fragrances hit the mark, and this is one of them. It smells great, performs well, and at a ridiculous price, it’s a must-have for me. Iris and Orris are expensive ingredients, and here is the solution: it smells very similar to Dior Homme Intense, but brighter, spicier, with a faster sillage on my skin. Very similar to Valentino Uomo, with a minimal quality difference. Don’t wait any longer and get the 9.0 (I don’t recommend the 8.0 from the pack). Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 8/10 Sillage: 8/10 Occasion: casual to semi-formal in cold weather. God’s plan 🦉
I grabbed it on offer and, to be honest, I expected more given the hype. I know iris, and this smells too synthetic and sweet, like old toy plastic. The dry down is better, but I tried layering to cover up the synthetic scent and it didn’t work, so I’m selling it. I gave it several chances and nothing. Yes, the performance is good, better than other Zara scents. Scent: 6/10 Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 6/10 Sillage: 7/10 Value for money: 10/10 Blind buy: 3/10 Versatility: 4/10 Season: temperate, mid-season, and cold.
I picked this up alongside the Zara 8.0, and although the first didn’t grab me, this one has something dark that I’m drawn to. At first, you notice spicy notes, a bit aggressive, but they fade quickly to reveal a sweetened iris that gives it body, with touches of amber always welcome. It feels synthetic, but it’s not bad, especially considering the price. Good projection for a few hours and lasts 8 hours on the skin without issues. Perfect for going out at night; it stands out from the crowd. Recommended.
The top pick from Zara’s men’s catalogue. It’s an almost identical clone of Valentino Uomo (not Dior), but at a ridiculous price. It smells sweet, powdery, with a spicy hint; bordering on unisex. The opening can feel very synthetic, but once it dries down it’s very pleasant and lasts quite a long time on the skin. Ideal for temperate or cold climates.
It seems to me an excellent clone of the Valentino Uomo Intense. Obviously with lower quality, but for the price it offers great value. If you want the experience of the iris note and have a limited budget, this is the solution. And if you want to smell of iris without spending on Dior Homme or Valentinos, it also works.
To me, it seems a 100% feminine perfume. I gave it to my mother (80) and she loved it. When she wears it, it looks phenomenal on her.
All the reviews agree on one point: the iris. And the truth is it’s very well executed. Too well executed for my taste, it has that connection between earthy, peppery and floral accords that cements it as a flagship of the brand; it’s one of Zara’s best perfumes. To my mind, it’s more wearable than the Valentino Uomo Intense without sacrificing performance, because its longevity and projection are excellent. When worn, it immediately gives comfort and the security that you smell good; you’ll receive compliments, and wearing it in mild climates is one of the best experiences. If over-applied, it can become sharper with the coriander and pepper, making the iris less prominent. Excellent option for the price and what it offers.
I don’t know what there is about this fragrance that makes it addictive. The opening is fantastic and it doesn’t evolve, which is almost better. Although as a cheap cologne it lacks longevity and trail, it holds its own against many other Zara fragrances in those two areas. I see it as very suitable for winter and autumn on formal occasions.
I agree with the others: a very well-executed iris. The longevity and trail are in line with Zara, very pleasant. I also bought the For Him (the previous one) and they are very similar, very linear, without much evolution. It’s an economical alternative to Valentino and Dior Homme. It’s not my usual type of perfume, but it doesn’t displease me either.
I bought it in 2020 at Zara; it was a strange and uncommon scent, but I loved it and ended up receiving many compliments. On clothes, it had beastly longevity. It’s one of those fragrances you adore but are impossible to find now as Zara doesn’t sell it in my country. The iris is very well executed and the notes are balanced.
The best option to try before the Dior Homme. Although it lacks performance and the quality is poor, it resembles it greatly. I recommend it as a sample if you don’t know the Dior Homme line.
Excellent fragrance, absolutely delicious scent, wow. What I noticed most was the iris, cardamom and amber. It brought me several compliments. Its only drawback is the projection, but not all perfumes need to be beasts; this one is more intimate, for when people come close to you. Excellent.
It’s a rather sweet perfume, with a soft opening but it lingers for ages and smells lovely. The amber really stands out, perhaps a bit too much, but overall it’s a very good option, especially considering the price.
I’ve been wearing this since November 2020 and it’s brilliant. I bought it in a pack with the 8.0 for my dad, but I ended up keeping it as he said it gave him a very feminine vibe. The longevity and trail of my bottle are top-notch. What really appeals to me is the iris, the citrus, the cardamom and the amber. Very elegant and tasteful. What a pity it’s no longer on Zara’s catalogue.
