It seems very similar to a previous version of Guerlain Homme (Intense?). Based on this alone, it’s a truly pleasant combination of rum, mint, citrus, and vetiver. Definitely my type of fragrance. Hoping for warmer months to wear it out on the street.
I’m still searching for a mentholated substitute for Code Sport and City Glam and can’t quite hit the mark. Upon trying it, it reminds me of other scents from the house: old school, classic, branded, and very masculine. It smells of clean, wet sponge, omnipresent velvet-dry, mossy, and woody mint. Very natural but tamed. I love the scent, but it feels like basic luxury or boring. Like with Boisée, I imagine a serious gentleman at a mahogany desk playing Eine kleine Nachtmusik. The performance seems weak for an EDP, but that’s just a suspicion. I recommend it to those seeking mint that isn’t expectorant or toothpaste-like. It’s formal and versatile. Not original, but such proposals are rare. I want to try it more.
I stumbled upon this great perfume by chance and it’s my first Guerlain. It opens with a burst of sharp citrus and high-quality green mint, nothing synthetic. Half an hour in, floral tones emerge, a rose that adds refinement, backed by a vetiver that reinforces the mature man image. It settles into vetiver and woods at the end. I see it as useful for the office, sunny days, spring, and summer; suitable for semi-formal to relaxed formal wear. Although it has a mature character, it doesn’t smell vintage. I tested the longevity in winter, and being a parfum, it’s not very potent or persistent; I’ll try it in summer.
A heavier flanker leaning into woods and vetiver, giving it a serious edge. The mojito (lime, mint, rum) is still there, but less sweet than in the EDT. Moderate performance with good longevity, though the trail is faint. Wearable all year with a suit and tie; the EDT feels younger and more playful, whereas this is stiffer. It smells great, a perfect gift choice, and suits the mature man or family dad. If you enjoy dry vetiver with cedar and mint, you’ll like this. I’ll stick with the EDT: better projection and more fun.
Very masculine scent. Reviews talk a lot about its mentholated opening, but I don’t perceive it. What I dislike is its poor longevity for an EDP.
I have tried as many mint-based perfumes exist, designer and niche, and after so many, I’ve concluded that for price and scent, it’s the best mentholated fragrance you can get. If you’re looking for a minty perfume and don’t want to miss out, try this one.
Guerlain Homme Eau de Parfum is an aromatic, herbal-spiced, and woody fragrance. Its opening is slightly citrusy but mainly mentholated; it feels herbal and green. The rum note is there in an imaginary sense; it doesn’t smell directly of rum, but rather of a mojito. After that opening, I feel it moves straight to its dry-down phase with masculine woods, vetiver, cedar, and to a lesser extent patchouli. The scent is very pleasant, of a formal type, suitable for professional environments, the office, or weekend outings. I imagine a family man with children using it, but that doesn’t mean a single person couldn’t wear it either. Its longevity has been moderate, between 6 and 7 hours, with moderate projection for the first hour and then it settles close to the skin. My thoughts remain the same as when I tested the first Guerlain Homme version: I believe this fragrance plays in the same league as Terre d’Hermes; they don’t smell the same but convey the same elegance, bearing, and seriousness. I like its scent very much.
Guerlain Homme EDP is aromatic, herbal-spiced, and woody. The opening is slightly citrusy, but mainly mentholated, herbal, and green; the rum is there in an imagined sense, not direct, but like the aroma of a mojito cocktail. Then it moves straight to the dry-down with masculine woods, vetiver, cedar, and a touch of patchouli. A pleasant aroma, formal in nature, perfect for the office or weekend outings. I imagine a family man with children wearing it, but that doesn’t exclude singles. Longevity is regular, around 6 to 7 hours, with moderate projection for the first hour before settling into the skin. My opinion matches my first review: it plays in the same league as Terre d’Hermès; they don’t smell the same but convey the same elegance, bearing, and seriousness. I like it very much.
A masterpiece. It’s a sober and serious perfume, an excess of elegance. I don’t recall exactly the scent of the previous version, the black bottle one I also owned, but they don’t seem to differ much from the current one. Perhaps there are insignificant differences, but essentially they are the same fragrance. I have the version that followed Guerlain Homme Intense.
Good heavens, it smells wonderful. As someone already said, without wishing to repeat: the best mainstream men’s fragrance based on mint, not niche. What about Eros by Versace? Bah, let’s be serious. The Versace mint is sweet and doesn’t resemble this one. Fresh, green, citrusy, herbal, and superb. A potent citrus opening, lime-like, followed by glory. A perfect blend of spicy mint, lime, soft florals, herbs, and very subtle cedar. I detect slight fougère reminiscences, like Polo Ralph Lauren without the old grass smell, or Dior’s Eau Sauvage without the bitterness. It also says there’s a rum touch, but I only notice it very lightly at the start; then it disappears and isn’t perceived anymore. It boasts the elegance, sobriety, style, and quality of a prestigious, veteran house like Guerlain. This L’Homme is the direct, updated heir to the previous models, which I suppose lasted longer and were more potent, though I didn’t use or smell them in the past. This current one is brilliant. It lasts about 7 hours and projects for about 90 minutes, which isn’t bad given how things are going these days. I see it as versatile, but I think it will perform wonderfully in spring and summer.
Rich, rich mint with a touch of rum, woods, and subtle florals… addictive. It’s an amazingly pleasant Guerlain EDP. Lasts my 7 hours and stays on clothes for a full day. For formal wear with class.
Good heavens, what a great smell. As someone said, and without being repetitive: the best non-niche mainstream men’s fragrance based on mint. Eros by Versace? Bah, let’s be serious. The mint in Eros is sugary and doesn’t resemble this Guerlain at all. Fresh, green, citrusy, herbal, and superb. A powerful citrus opening, lime-like, followed by glory. A perfect blend of spicy mint, lime, soft florals, and subtle herbal and cedar notes. I detect faint echoes of classic fougère: the green facet of Polo EDT without the old hay smell, or Dior’s Eau Sauvage without the excessive citrus bitterness, rosemary, and moss. There’s also said to be a touch of alcoholic rum that I only notice very lightly at the start; then it disappears. It boasts the elegance and quality of a prestigious, veteran house. This L’Homme 2026 is the direct, updated heir to the previous L’Homme and Extreme, which I assume lasted longer and were more potent. I never used or smelled those in the past. This current one is fantastic. It lasts about 7 hours and projects for about 90 minutes, which isn’t bad at all. I see it as versatile but believe it will perform wonderfully in spring and summer.
A formal, discreet fragrance, perfect for projecting seriousness and neatness. Ideal for a suit; it reminds me of Prada L’Homme, though this Guerlain version is softer and less overpowering. The mint lasts only minutes and fades quickly. Perfect for temperate climates, it handles everything well except excessive heat. It seems to me to be a fine example of a well-made fragrance.
A formal and discreet fragrance, perfect for projecting seriousness and neatness. Ideal for a suit; it reminds me of Prada L’Homme, but this Guerlain version is softer and less overpowering. The mint lasts a few minutes and fades quickly. Perfect for mild climates; it performs well in everything except excessive heat. A well-made fragrance.
Such an elegant scent that you need to dress in harmony to avoid looking out of place. It’s like a bespoke suit. Seriously, it’s the most elegant thing in my wardrobe. Perfect for all seasons, though better in mild or hot weather. If you have a work meeting, don’t hesitate, wear it. Guerlain, as always.
Excellent perfume. Feels fresh and elegant, with true class. Ideal for summer. Its trail is subtle but noticeable for about two hours, and it lasts 6–7 hours on the skin. It has an outstanding evolution and isn’t linear. You can smell the classic Guerlain vetiver from the start. Totally recommended. Quality 10/10, a house classic.
What a gem. Smells tremendously elegant and clean. It starts fresh and mentholated, with a barely perceptible hint of rum. As it dries down, it sweetens just a little. Very subtle floral notes, white woods like cedar and vetiver. The longevity is excellent for a fresh fragrance. It has good projection; although it’s not loud, that subtility gives it class. I wear it all year round if I’m dressed up. Very masculine and serious.
