In ‘Low’, the Bowie album from the 70s, the track ‘Sound and Vision’ captivates and leaves you spellbound. Guerlain Homme L’Eau awakens identical sensations in me: a naturally icy texture, like an almost frozen drink of lime, lemon, and mint. You can detect the grapefruit, geranium, and vetiver in smooth transitions. It’s perfect for humid and hot summer days; not only do you smell good, but you’re wrapped in a shield of imaginary ice cubes. It’s pleasant and proves that for the perfect coolness, you don’t need an excess of fruits or ozone. The longevity is good, around six hours with stronger bursts, and the projection is moderate but perceptible. It’s discontinued, but L’Homme L’Eau Boisée is a worthy heir. Applause.
This fragrance surpasses the original in both quality and purpose. The opening is a natural grapefruit lemonade with invigorating mint, perfect for a hot day. It’s nothing heavy or ‘look at me’; it clings to the skin without being invisible. The dry-down is very natural, with nothing synthetic or plasticky, featuring green notes, geranium, woods, and vetiver that create a mojito atmosphere with a lemonade sensation. The only downside is that it’s hard to find. Excellent, a fresh and well-made citrus aroma.

A very fresh fragrance of high quality, nothing typical among citrus colognes. The ingredients are first-class and provide immense freshness in the middle of summer or spring. I found it again at $29 after a year and didn’t hesitate to buy it. The trail is moderate; in the office it’s noticeable from a distance, lasting about four hours projecting before dropping slightly to skin level for another two hours. For me, it’s much better than Guerlain’s Ideal Cool or Sport. Purchased in November 2020 in Chile.
Guerlain Homme L’eau is the freshest flanker in the entire range, perfect for those summer days that make you dread going out. It’s like a refreshing drink that restores the vital energy the heat steals from you. It has a super natural and fresh scent; you can feel the lime in your hand, the mint, the grapefruit, the bergamot, the geranium, and the rum without any artificial sensation. Discontinued? Yes, but it’s worth it.
