A new addition to my collection, brought back from London as a souvenir. Maya is a Swedish artist based there who captures memories in minimalist, high-quality Scandinavian bottles at a very fair price. It smells like those classic northern cardamom buns, yet it’s not gourmand; the vanilla stays in the background to let the cardamom and cedar shine, evoking the scent of a freshly baked cardamom bun resting on a wooden table, reminiscent of the dry aroma of a Finnish sauna – which is my favourite. A touch of patchouli and vanilla makes it creamier, setting it apart from ‘Nordic Cedar’ (the same fragrance without vanilla, very similar). It’s cosy, delicious and has a sexy edge – a unique scent that has completely won me over. I adore these artisanal, well-made, lesser-known perfumes. For me, the true niche. Excellent, Maya 😋
