Coca Ash starts with a very ‘pharmaceutical’ note, a blend between cough syrup (herbal, sweet and bitter) and something reminiscent of amphetamines (salty-bitter); sometimes it smells like a first-aid kit. It then turns ultra-woody, ultra-smoky and very dry, like charred wood. Any leather accents? I think so. A touch of slightly dirty ambergris. The scent is very claustrophobic, better in open spaces because it’s a hammer for my nose. If you feel comfortable in the world of ultra-woody fragrances, give it a try. Ash… it’s very close to the skin but intense. In style, it reminds me of Euphorium Brooklyn and similar things.
