This perfume is a masterpiece! I missed buying a large bottle because it no longer ships to Argentina and it sold out just as I was about to order. I am truly regretful not to have secured one. Now I treasure my 20ml decant like gold. It is a dark scent with a lively spark, yet not cheerful; a quiet, introspective vibration. Sometimes it leaves me a little melancholic, but when it doesn’t, I enjoy it immensely. At first, it smells of quality white chocolate mixed with fresh, clean vetiver, reminiscent of Guerlain. Then the depth of the vetiver root appears, accompanied by patchouli and moss that give it body and texture. It stops being a clean scent and moves away from the conventional, with echoes of an old library and antique furniture. It has a medicinal and balsamic side, but never loses a floral nuance that provides balance. To me, it is a work of art. It is not for everyone, but one must respect what it wants to be. Its longevity is tremendous and it evolves beautifully over time.

What I perceive most is a chocolate and vetiver that are very well balanced. It is a scent that conveys a great sense of peace to me, and I wear it close to the skin, purely for personal enjoyment. It does not resemble any other fragrance in my collection.

The first thing I do not agree with is that it is labelled as linear; I perceive it as evolving. It is one of the most elegant and exquisite in my collection. The touch of chocolate is just right, not cloying like the Gentleman EDP, and the combination with iris and vetiver is masterful. A safe purchase.

In the opening, I notice a lot of vetiver and a slightly bitter chocolate. Over time, the vetiver and moss gain presence, giving it a mature character. As it dries down, the vetiver becomes more earthy and that is when the amber is felt. It smells quite natural. Good longevity and projection right on the skin, though I can smell it for hours. In my opinion, it is clearly masculine and I would wear it in any weather.

As it dries down, the vetiver becomes more earthy, where the amber really shines through. It smells very natural. It has good longevity and a close-to-the-skin projection, though I can still detect it for hours. It is clearly a masculine fragrance I would wear in any weather.

Vetiver Oriental by SL: If I had to describe this scent in one word, it would be magical. The notes are perfectly sequenced and selected to unfold on the skin one after another. The opening hits with sweetness, thanks to the amber and chocolate. Then, in the second phase, woody notes emerge such as sandalwood, iris, and that unmistakable vetiver. You won’t regret owning this unique gem within the SL house. Rating 9/10.
