Descripción

Coco Noir Extrait de Chanel is a floral chypre fragrance for women. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by Jacques Polge and Christopher Sheldrake. The top notes reveal a citrus explosion with grapefruit, bergamot, aldehydes and lemon; the heart unfolds with rose, geranium, jasmine, narcissus and cloves; while the base notes settle on patchouli, frankincense, sandalwood, tonka bean, vanilla, white musk, benzoin and iris root.

Today I tried this extract of Coco Noir and thought about buying it for Christmas. At 220 euros for 15ml, that’s nearly 15 euros per millilitre, a rip-off. I expected a bomb, and the first spray smells of aldehydes mixed with something animal. Within minutes it neutralises, but it doesn’t recall the eau de parfum. After 15 minutes it gets closer, though I still don’t like it. Regarding longevity and trail, it’s the same as the eau de parfum, which unfortunately isn’t what I’m looking for (and yet it’s my signature). It’s not worth it. By the way, the cream is another matter: a wonder. I don’t think it’s worth it either. Editing: it’s astonishing, more matured than the EDP, lasts 577 times longer, and perhaps is more potent. With 4ml, I’ll last forever.

  • I absolutely love this perfume; it’s now my signature scent. My first olfactory crush was Coco Chanel EDP when I was a child, and I fell in love with this bottle dressed in black. Upon trying it, it surpassed the master and my crush, her sister Coco. The top notes sent my head spinning; it’s distinct from Coco but shares the sandalwood that drives me wild. In Coco Noir, the vanilla note with citrus like grapefruit, bergamot, and lemon feels more prominent. I’m not a fan of citrus on its own, but with the rose, jasmine, and cloves in the heart, they’re tolerable. To finish with a flourish, the base notes are my favourites: patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, tonka bean, and white musk. Here they feel elegant and beautiful, present from the start. From the Coco Chanel house, this is my favourite, followed by Coco, Allure, and Allure Sensuelle, my total crushes. In terms of projection, trail, and longevity, all the Chancels mentioned are wonderful. If you’re looking for quality and elegance, Chanel is guaranteed. Love Chanel and my Coco Noir.

  • I adore it; it’s my signature now. My first olfactory crush was with Coco Eau de Parfum as a child, and over the years I saw this bottle with its black dress and fell in love with the packaging. Upon trying it, wow, it surpasses the master and my crush, her sister Coco. The top notes sent my head spinning: it’s distinct from Coco but shares the sandalwood that drives me wild. In Coco Noir the vanilla with citrus (grapefruit, bergamot, lemon) stands out; I’m not a fan of citrus on its own, but with the rose, jasmine, and cloves they’re not bothersome and I tolerate them well. To finish with a flourish, the base notes are my favourites: patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, tonka bean, and white musk. In Coco Noir they are elegant and beautiful, heard from start to finish orchestrated by the rest. From the Coco Chanel house, this is my favourite, followed by Coco, Allure, and Allure Sensuelle, my total crushes. Projection, trail, and longevity: wow, all the Chancels mentioned are wonderful in quality and fixation. If you’re looking for quality, exquisite essence, and longevity, Chanel is guaranteed elegance. Love Chanel and my Coco Noir 💖😘🤞💕
