  1. I adore vanilla, so I expected to love it, but on my skin the patchouli dominates and masks almost everything, letting the balsamic and earthy notes shine through. The citrus fades away and the wood merely provides support. With my skin chemistry, it smells like pure patchouli. It has excellent sillage and longevity, is unisex but leans masculine. Be warned: testing on skin is essential; don’t buy blind because what you smell has nothing to do with reviews, and on top of that, it’s expensive.
