It starts with a potent, sweet oud mixed with vanilla and rose. Everything is finely tuned; as it settles, it transitions to powdery notes with a touch of milk chocolate. This is what Xerjoff’s Symphonium ought to have been: free from that aggressive, dirty oud that undermines elegance. Here, the oud blends wonderfully for a unique and memorable fragrance. Completely unisex, ideal for cold weather and evening wear. Only for when you are dressed and wish not to impose. Apply to skin to observe its development; avoid blind buying, particularly due to the cost and the cumbersome buying system.
