Tous Man by Tous

A curious and original fragrance: it begins with an Amateru-like accord that fades as ginger and grapefruit gain strength, sitting over a boozy base. The result is dry, bitter, and slightly inebriated, with hard-to-identify herbs, subtle fruity notes (no clear pineapple or apple), and mineral, chalky touches that balance everything, evoking Campari. It’s liquor, grapefruit, bitter herbs, and a mineral base. Those who love Terre de Hermès will likely enjoy it, though it isn’t similar; the chalky notes and grapefruit recall it only distantly. Performance is typical for an EDT: about 5 hours very lightly, with 1–2 hours of more intense projection, which is preferable as more power would be cloying. It’s very purposeful, original, difficult to understand, and not for the masses; I’m surprised Tous launched something more akin to author or niche perfumery.

It has a very distinctive aroma I had never smelled before. The fruity notes stand out: pineapple, apple, and orange, plus a special touch of Campari. At first, the pepper isn’t noticeable, but the ginger gives it a nice kick. As it dries down, a serious base is added that gives it a masculine character. I perceive it as very much from the 2000s, even the nineties; in other words, vintage, yet despite this, it isn’t outdated; a young person could wear it without a problem. In terms of performance, it lasts 6-8 hours with 5 sprays, which surprises me for an EDT. The projection is less effective; it’s for close range (not beyond where you stretch your arm). In conclusion, it is well worth the money for what it offers. I recommend it for everyday wear, the office, or outings with friends or a partner. If you overapply it with 10 or more sprays, it works for a party. It is very versatile.

Where do they find the sweetness in this fragrance? Can anyone explain?

I tested it in Madrid last winter, and at 4°C it seemed ideal for the cold. I’ve tested it on warm days and don’t think it’s appropriate for heat. Regardless of the climate, I believe it’s modern and timeless; I’m a huge fan of musk, and in this version, it seems perfect, very well balanced with sandalwood and amber. In short, from One Million, it seems that anything not smelling of cotton candy soaked in vanilla and lollipops isn’t valued much. I like it for workdays, white shirts, and autumn/winter work. For me, it belongs to the same family as Bvlgari BLV, Narciso Rodríguez for Him, and Guess Seductive Blue.

Although this perfume is to my liking for daily wear… my office colleagues sent me to take a bath… THEY COULDN’T STAND IT!!!. I would definitely not buy it again. It is a pleasant scent, but its price of 600 MXN isn’t that cheap compared to what it offers and the reactions it generates. I think the Sport edition of this EDT smells much better.

I’ve had this fragrance on my radar for some time; I disagree with the negative opinions read here. Although we know fixation differs between people, the scent, while similar to others, seems to have something distinct to me. On me, it has a medium projection of 2–3 hours, but the scent remains for around 7 hours; I consider this above-average performance. It’s not linear, having phases though not very defined; it’s fresh and suitable for any occasion, although I don’t see it as particularly formal.

It’s one of the first perfumes I bought. It suits everyone differently; I love it, it has long-lasting durability on my skin, and smells rich and discreet. I feel it’s for personal enjoyment, as it doesn’t have much of a trail and is only perceived close to the skin after a few hours. I simply love this perfume 😀

In short, I HATE IT. It smells of apple, but it is such a one-note and generic scent that it becomes boring and gives me a headache. I do not recommend it.

I tried it on my uncle’s skin and, honestly, I can’t remember what it smells like now. It was a one-note fragrance, lacking charm, and it didn’t last even an hour. Furthermore, the price-to-quality ratio is very poor for a lesser-known brand.
