Tous Man Intense by Tous

First time trying this Spanish brand and I got Tous Man Intense. I was pleasantly surprised; it is a fairly modern fougère. It delivers on the three B’s (good, beautiful and cheap). The herbal notes with neroli open with unusual power, giving a sense of wellbeing. Projection lasts an hour and longevity is six to eight hours (six in my case). Afterwards it fades and sits close to the skin. Ideal for any occasion; in my opinion, it is the typical office and suit-wearing professional perfume. It is noticeable but not overpowering. Its main use is daytime and in all seasons, a real all-rounder. It could be worn at night, but in my opinion I would not recommend it, although everyone should use it as they wish. In summary, an herbal and citrus fragrance for any time and season, day or night, for which you will receive compliments. Best regards.

Good perfume. It has good projection and excellent longevity, more than 10 hours on my skin. I bought the 50 ml bottle at El Corte Inglés in 2023. It is a white floral with green aromatic touches. I do not feel it is generic; it has personality and does not resemble Le Male or D&G Pour Homme without citrus. It follows the path of Fierce but without metallic notes. An all-rounder perfume, suitable for all year round except summer with extreme heat. Perfect for work in air-conditioned environments; it lasts the whole day and I still smell it at night. It can be a signature scent. It is not expensive and is well worth it for what it offers.

Top fragrance, smells like a freshly showered and clean man. It lasted more than 12 hours on my clothes and about six on the skin. For the price, it is a total success, one of my favourites.

It sounds a bit retro, early 2000s style, and it is noticeable that it is a little dated. At first it did not convince me, but upon trying it again, it is nothing striking. I would lean more towards Tous Man Chill, which is fresher and more elegant. The price is high, at least here in Mexico. I would use it for informal outings, staying at home or in the office. Price 7/10, longevity 8/10, trail 7/10.

The aroma smells like another era; it is a green scent, a little more up-to-date than classic fougères but not modern. It smells serious and clean. It is very versatile, ideal for the office where it has a reputation; it is the smell of the veteran colleague who has been there all their life. To me, at 48 years old, I do not see myself wearing it; if I am looking for something vintage, I prefer something that makes a difference, something more rugged. The longevity is reasonable, for half a day or intensive wear, but it does not last until the end of the afternoon for a split shift. The price seems high to me; I think there are better options for both vintage and modern with that purpose in mind. If you are thinking about the office, personally I believe the undervalued Part Time Hero from the goose is a very good option.

Please stop assuming this fragrance is only ‘for the office’. Open your minds and realise there are far more spaces where it can be worn. It’s contradictory to call it versatile and then pigeonhole it into a single setting.

It starts with a harmonious combo of lavender and sage, fresh as if in a distant field under the sun and morning air, accompanied by herbal petitgrain and bright as if crushing a lemon leaf, plus a sour neroli that makes it soapy and clean. In the first 30 minutes the projection is immense. After an hour it stays linear but loses its initial brightness, becoming dense and rounded with a cold, metallic lavender. Projection is moderate but leaves a huge trail. The next day, in the heart notes it holds firm with a soft sweetness of tonka bean. I detect a chemical point that reminds me of shoe polish. On skin it lasted 8 hours and 3 days on clothes. It bears a great resemblance to the Vintage version of D&G Pour Homme, my favourite. Very versatile, it evokes old airplane hangars smelling of metal and oil, my uncle with his leather jacket and D&G Vintage smoking before flying. I find all that here. I have no idea how much I enjoy its aroma; in it I find old memories, faces of family and friends I’ve lost track of. It’s deeply nostalgic… I’m sorry to go on so much, it fills me with pleasure to share these experiences. Cheers!

A delicacy for everyday wear, office type. I recommend it for days that aren’t too hot or evening outings. If you don’t have many perfumes, this is versatile: daily use, evening outings, dinners with the girlfriend, conquest. Super recommended.

Excellent fragrance for everyday wear. Both for its clean, semi-formal and friendly aroma, and for its price, which is usually very convenient. Basically, it smells like lavender soap with other flowers and herbs. The opening is slightly green and floral, calm… as it develops it shifts from herbal/floral to something sweeter with a musky touch. Good longevity, moderate trail. It’s not very young nor vintage; it’s in the middle. It’s for wearing with neat but comfortable clothing: shirt, chompa, trench coat… perhaps jeans. Office attire.

The perfume doesn’t disgust me, but I wouldn’t say I love it. I bought it for the price and because it’s often compared to Fierce or D&G Pour Homme, which are prohibitively expensive or simply out of reach here. The opening is fresh and pleasant, though it lasts only a few minutes. I don’t detect clear fruity notes, but there is something sweet, powdery, and soapy, like a distant coconut. I can’t pinpoint lavender, sage, or flowers; it seems the base notes dominate from start to finish. I can’t quite compare it to anything, though I do remember smelling something similar in a white bar deodorant, perhaps Nivea or Rexona? As it dries down, it clings to the skin with a vanilla-ish tone. It’s linear, almost monotonous. The longevity is brutal: over 8 hours and still going. The projection is sober but persistent; it follows you everywhere as if you’d stepped in dog droppings and couldn’t wash them off until you’d scrubbed your shoes. It doesn’t grab my nose, but I don’t think anyone would dislike it; it smells like a detox soap bath, which explains why it’s top choice for the office. Verdict: acceptable in scent, price, and performance.

Pleasant aroma and not at all invasive. Ideal for the office and enclosed spaces. Good performance compared to other scents from the brand I’ve tried. In short, it’s a good fragrance for the price-to-quality ratio. The white flowers combined with lavender give it a soapy and clean appearance, perhaps at the expense of the ‘attraction’ factor that other notes might provide. For everyday wear in an office or professional setting, it’s an excellent choice.

It seems this perfume has something nostalgic, not just because one of its creators is Pierre Wargnye, responsible for Drakkar Noir, perhaps the most important cologne of the eighties, but because it seems conceived from other decades and transported to today by a time machine. The proposal is formal yet fresh, clean, neat, even soapy, though also spiced and loaded with woods. In short, the perfect office perfume: serious, elegant, capable of impressing, yet kind to others thanks to its floral, citrus, and herbal top notes. It’s a mid-nineties perfume, well-made and respectful of the wearer. Finally, an ‘Intense’ makes sense: Tous Man Intense is powerful, lasts all day without exaggeration, and projects above average. Very similar to a Dolce Gabbana Pour Homme, but without the lavender dominance, or even Fierce, as if it had gone through a steroid cycle. It’s that idea: citrus, herbal, metallic, spiced, and woody. People will smell you approaching, but not in a bad way. The best office perfume I’ve ever smelled.

It seems there’s not much to it, but on skin it’s intense and long-lasting. It smells clean, very much like bar soap. I see it for cold climates because it’s dense, or for the office with air conditioning to project cleanliness; in heat, it can be irritating. Edit: after several days on skin, I sold it. The floral notes become too present and annoying; I don’t like how it evolves and it conveys nothing. I don’t think anyone would compliment me wearing it.

@Jerry Drake: for me, a perfume labelled ‘Intense’, ‘Extreme’, or ‘Forte’ should have a powerful trail. This lasts on my skin, but with moderate to low projection. It’s just a matter of how you interpret the adjective ‘Intense’ or what you’re looking for when it bears that title.
