What a delight! It has become my favourite alongside Blanche Bête. Simply incredible 💓
I loved it from the off! I’m a huge fan of coconut and sweet, sticky scents, and this is the perfect example. The quality is top-notch. It lasts and projects for hours. It’s a brutal coconut sweet with almonds and vanilla cream. Zero florals; this is gourmand with a capital G. Totally different from Blanche Bête.
From the very first moment, the intensity screams that it will leave a mark and that the memory of this extrait de parfum will linger in the air. This is COYA by @laboyaparis, a fragrance that surprises me with every note. The opening is exotic; the creaminess of the coconut takes control to put us in a cheerful mood with that familiar sweet aroma. Its milky nuances make me feel good and relaxed, and I’m increasingly drawn to the nutty notes. Almond, one of my favourite ingredients, is usually a bit bitter and seductive, but here it’s sweeter and creamier thanks to the mix with coconut and what follows. This opening lasts, and there’s always a trace until it dries down. In the heart, the sweetness becomes more apparent. The cocoa smells warm and comforts the nose in a reassuring way; it smells very elegant and not cloying, in perfect balance with a fine praliné cream. The scent becomes so indulgent that you want to eat it, or have it kissed off you. Despite how sweet it seems, I’m surprised by the finesse of the combination; it’s easy to wear and nothing heavy. In the base, the sweet ingredients like vanilla remain, natural and delicate thanks to the musk. It smells powdery but never loses its warmth; in fact, it intensifies with the tonka bean, adding more sweetness and fixative power, leaving a sophisticated and sensual trail. COYA is intoxicating, one of those you never forget and always want to repeat.
