A total discovery for my senses, Calahorra by Woha Parfums has captivated me from the very first moment. It is not merely a perfume that smells good; it is one that you truly live with. The opening is luminous and vibrant, featuring a sparkling green mandarin wrapped in a softly spiced English pepper—nothing aggressive—alongside a dry, elegant touch of papyrus that hints at real character. Within minutes, it begins to unfold, and this is where it truly captivates me. The heart is exceptionally special: thyme lends a natural, almost Mediterranean aroma, while sugarcane introduces a subtle sweetness, not cloying, but beautifully integrated. Sandalwood adds a warm, refined touch that makes the fragrance feel enveloping, intimate, and deeply sensory. In the base, it truly explodes with a thousand sensations. The patchouli appears clean, neither earthy nor heavy, accompanied by copaiba balsam which brings a creamy, addictive softness. Ho wood rounds off the composition with elegance, while hemlock introduces a green, mysterious nuance that gives it its own personality. Everything remains perfectly balanced. I can detect every single note, something that rarely happens to me. It evolves constantly on the skin without losing coherence, making it fascinating to wear for hours. It is a genuine unisex fragrance: elegant yet approachable, modern without losing its classic soul. For me, it is not just a scent but a sensory experience that I am passionate about and return to with ease. It is one of those perfumes that does not overwhelm, yet never goes unnoticed; it simply accompanies and creates atmosphere.

I greatly appreciate the quality of this type of perfume, without it necessarily meaning I have to like or fall in love with it. Like the other offerings from the house, one I adore, another overwhelms me, and this one lands somewhere in between. The composition is excellent, nothing stands out, it has its own distinctive point but there it stays. A green, bright, and spicy opening that already carries a sweet nuance from the start. As it develops, a prominent woody note emerges with a balsamic and aromatic accord. It’s very well done, but we’re talking about niche perfumes with their corresponding price tag… there’s no chemistry. The longevity isn’t excessive either, though I find it very versatile and unisex. Less so in summer, but any other occasion suits it well.
