Jara by Ponsa is an olfactory creation from the Oriental Woody family, designed for men and women. This new fragrance, launched in 2025, has been signed by perfumer Alejandro Ponsà. Its composition begins with top notes of white pepper, bergamot, and petit grain. The heart of the fragrance unfolds a harmony of black spruce, rosemary, labdanum, oakmoss, galbanum, and elemi. To finish, the base notes reveal a warm and persistent foundation of myrrh, oud wood, patchouli, labdanum, vanilla, black musk, Amber Xtreme, and resin.

Jara is my favourite out of Ponsá’s five; it gives me exactly what I’m looking for in a fragrance, perfectly suited to my taste in scent and performance. To call it a fragrance is an understatement – it’s a work of art. I’m one of the few who discovered it over a year ago when it was still a prototype, thanks to Alejandro Ponsá letting me try it every time I visited Barcelona. It works brilliantly for me: very original, dense, ideal for autumn and winter, and in my opinion unisex but with a more masculine character. I already have a backup of Jara, and I think that says it all: this is what it is for me. It’s essential to try it if you enjoy exclusive, high-quality perfumery.
