  • I’ll start by saying it’s my first perfume from this brand. The truth is that some of their aromas awaken love and hate. In my case, I saw a video by Juanito de No me Huelas saying it was a potent, very penetrating scent for an older gentleman. I think he’s right regarding the power. What I disagree with is that I don’t see it for an older person, as this is a mass destruction weapon that will most certainly intoxicate the poor veteran and send them straight to the box. Regarding the aroma: compare it to Interlude, strident, invasive, pungent, penetrating. It opens with a high-volume incense, amber notes, some oakmoss. It’s an atomic bomb. When it settles after the first hour, it becomes a very rich aroma with touches of cumin, pepper, something animal. In its final phase, it becomes somewhat acidic due to the incense that never stops being present, with an almost imperceptible floral base. My opinion is that it’s a journey, spectacular, pyrotechnic. A whole experience. If you ever get lost in the desert or a jungle, bring this perfume, you’ll surely be detected from kilometres away. Great performance, great trail. I see it for special occasions in open environments, for people with a lot of character, masculine; I can’t imagine a woman using this. Alternative, semi-formal, or casual wear. Aroma 9/10, Trail 10/10, Longevity 8/10, Projection 10/10.

  • Nothing with incense and Kouros with incense: a beast. If you are seeking originality and power in a niche fragrance, this is the level. Very niche. I recommend it 100% and would buy it fifty times over.

  • Rien with a touch of incense. Kouros with incense. A beast highly recommended. For a niche fragrance, I ask for originality and power. This is VERY niche. I would buy it 50 times again.

BEWARE, review of the normal Rien: Let me explain… I had a batch from 2015 and it smelled like a cathedral, a Buddhist temple, it was a delight. This? No, and to make it worse, it’s very close to its brother Intense Incense but without the rose. Is there a problem? They’ve taken away quite a bit of leather and I’d even say they’ve increased the amber, leaving the typical ‘standard’ incense scent. I also get the impression that since then, the projection has dropped a little, but this can be understood due to IFRA. Edit: When I talk about the Rien’s projection dropping, I’m also referring to the Intense Incense; I tested a decant and it confirms, they last and project the same.

  • An interesting fragrance: warm, incisive, and penetrating leather, boosted by aldehydes. The dry down is relaxed, sitting between woody, oily, and spicy. In my opinion, it is masculine, mature, and dark. Ideal for cool evenings, paired with a leather jacket, to go out with mystery and charm. The floral notes are integrated discreetly; they do not stand out, they soften the dry down, add elegance, and keep the more intense notes in check.

  • Interesting fragrance: a warm and incisive leather, penetrating, boosted by aldehydes, with a nuanced base, more relaxed, a sensation between woody, oily, and spicy. In my opinion, it’s masculine, mature, and dark. Ideal for cool nights, leather jackets, a night out that can be endowed with mystery and charm. The floral notes are discreetly integrated, not standing out, making the dry-down more pleasant and friendly, nourishing the aroma with elegance and keeping the more intense notes in check.

  • The proposal is interesting and sufficiently different to attract attention. The notes are to my taste and the performance is good. The price is also right. But even though I like aldehydes, here I notice a concentration from the start that becomes annoying and too invasive. It gives a sensation of chemical concentration that I don’t like. A pity, as everything else is positive. The dry-down changes the aroma and I find it well-balanced with nothing bothering. The problem is at the start and that sensation lasts an hour. The middle phase is more floral, suede-like, ambered. This part is good. Suitable for cold seasons and very versatile.

  • A dark fragrance, mainly incense and aldehyde-based, but also animal, floral, and leathery. It gives the impression of an incensed Kouros. Nuclear power and longevity. It can be very overwhelming for the wearer and those around them, plus it has a vintage vibe. I recommend not buying it blindly.

  • Not much more to add: it is for exceptional occasions (or not, I do not dictate when to wear it). Festivals of all kinds (except the ‘pachangueros’), rock concerts… the more lugubrious, the better. It is basically for partying. It is dark and clean at the same time. Strange, yes, but very expansive; it creates a huge aura. Very projective. I would have Darth Vader wear this at a territorial conference. As you know, it is a very strong leather with aldehydes that give a dirty soapy aura. The dry down is another matter: fresh, ambered, and floral, with a pinkish and spicy touch from the pepper and cumin, which I notice quite a bit. The iris comes out at the end, sits there, and fades away along with the other dominant notes after 9-10 hours. It is an opulent and destructive Fougère. Rien Intense Incense is the ‘father’ of normal Rien (never better said).

  • I’ll add little more; it’s for exceptional use only. I won’t dictate when and where to use it: festivals (less party-goers), rock concerts, and the more lugubrious, the better. Basically, for going out to party. It’s dark and clean at the same time. Strange, yet very expansive; it creates a wide aura. Very projective. I’d wear Dark Vader to a territorial conference. Notes: extremely strong leather, aldehydes that give a soapy ‘dirty’ aura, and in the dry-down it feels fresh, ambered, and floral with a pinkish and spicy touch from the pepper and cumin, which I notice quite a bit. The iris appears at the end, fading away along with the other notes by 9-10h. This opulent and destructive fougère lasts 9-10h. Rien Intense Incense is the ‘father’ of Rien in its normal version.

  • I just bought it in a frenzy; I craved something strong with incense. It’s like a Kouros with steroids: leather, lots of incense, and atomic longevity. It’s not for everyone, not even joking; you need to be used to the intensity, it grows hair on your chest and nose. The best part is the dry-down, very pleasant and it tames the initial fragrance. The best incense I own. A distinct aroma, ideal for standing out amongst the sweet scents. Recommendation: apply and wait 2-3 hours. Don’t use more than 1 spray indoors and 2-4 outdoors (it will kill an entire family). Ideal for nights and a dark look. Special events. A classic but with a modern character, not for young, beardless men.

  • Barberia2005

Bach 2024: an aldehyde bomb at the beginning that does not disappear throughout the life of the fragrance. It mixes with an incense that, for me, is not ecclesiastical. It is a dark, winter fragrance, in beast mode. With this, you shoot laser beams; it is more mature. It is brilliant, I love it.
