What a wonderful surprise I got with this perfume. It’s sweet and feminine yet possesses an unprecedented sophistication for such a gourmand scent; perhaps it’s the rum note that lends it that ‘adult’ touch. Besides, it has the best coconut I’ve ever smelled. I’ve never liked that note—it’s so reminiscent of suntan lotion—but here it is absolutely wonderful in Petra. The dry-down is sweet, with exquisite vanilla and very delicate floral notes. I’m testing it today so I can’t comment on longevity, but it’s a resounding YES, 10/10.

It is my favourite fragrance. A blend of neroli, dry coconut and liquor so seductive that whenever I wear it, everyone says ‘uffff, but it smells delicious’ 🩷.
Nico Perfulab
The plum and rum opening is absolutely recognisable. The coconut and neroli are a delicacy; there is nothing to complain about in that regard, considering neroli often feels very indolic and coconut isn’t particularly a ‘strong’ or ‘persistent’ note. In the base, one can discern what musk is used; praline and vanilla are undisputed kings of that facet. The packaging is beautiful, the trail is low but very in line with the current ‘second skin’ trend. If you are looking for a bomb, this isn’t it, but if you are seeking a sweet and delicate perfume, then yes.

This perfume is a beast, but women must like florals as that is the dominant note. Wherever there is neroli, it predominates. It is a scent with great longevity, trail and presence; an interesting fusion like stepping into a luxurious Arab shop in the middle of Virginia, USA. As I said, it is a very, very floral perfume, so use it sparingly.

At first I was scared by the boozy touch, I thought it was for a ‘granny’, but then it developed into something creamy and sweet. On my nose, the blend of neroli and coconut smells like soap and ends up clean. I like it very much, but the trail is medium, like an aromatic bubble. It’s not a blind buy, but if you like it, it ends up winning you over. I think it shows better with spring-autumn temperatures.

At first, I was scared by the rum note, thinking it was like ‘grandpa’, but then it developed into a creamier, sweeter fragrance. On my nose, the blend of neroli and coconut reminds me of soap and eventually smells clean. It is a fragrance I like a lot, but regarding the trail, I consider it medium leaning towards low, like a perfume that creates an aromatic bubble. It’s not a blind buy, but a perfume that, if you like it, ends up winning your heart. I believe it is best perceived with spring- to autumnal temperatures.

My latest disappointment from Lattafa, and personally, my farewell. Again, a super diluted perfume, barely perceptible, with poor longevity. You need to literally bring your hand to your nose to smell it; it feels more like a skin scent. I have a sense of olfactory betrayal, especially since Lattafa had earned a reputation as the accessible yet intense Arab brand that “never failed.” Now it seems you are paying for pretty air. In recent months, there has been a general decline in Lattafa’s quality. The formulas have become lighter, with fewer fixatives (due to new regulations), and the brand now produces at a scale that neglects details. I have read that the oil concentration has been reduced from 25–30% to less than 15%; unfortunately, it is noticeable from the first application. When a perfume promises sensuality, character, presence, and projection… and in practice evaporates in ten minutes, the feeling is very bittersweet. I imagine the Petra that should have been was a beautiful vanilla fragrance. Perhaps one day Lattafa will regain its soul, but for now, I am stepping off this journey.

The opening does not disgust me, but the nardos in the dry down kill me (thank goodness it was a gifted decant). I do not think it is a perfume to buy blind, although it is not my usual olfactive family either.

Last disappointment from Lattafa and, for my part, the farewell. Again, a super diluted perfume, barely perceptible, with little longevity. To feel it you need to bring your hand close to your nose. It seems more of a skin scent. I have a sense of olfactory betrayal, especially because Lattafa had earned the reputation of being accessible but intense Arab perfume, the one that ‘didn’t fail’. Now it seems you pay for pretty air. Lately the quality has dropped; the formulas are lighter, with fewer fixatives, and on a large scale without caring for details. I’ve read that they lowered the oil concentration from 25-30% to less than 15%; it’s noticeable from the first spray. When a perfume promises sensuality and presence and evaporates in ten minutes, the feeling is bittersweet. I imagine the Petra that should have been was a beautiful vanilla fragrance. Perhaps one day Lattafa will recover its soul, but for now, I’m getting off this ride.

On the first spray, I could only smell the rum with plum accompanied by praline. I never found the floral nardos or the coconut, which is what I expected in this perfume; what a disappointment. It seems like a very sweet fragrance, dominated by praline and rum. … And after giving it a second chance, I am keeping it. In the base, the floral part peeks out and develops as a feminine and elegant perfume that shines better on cool days.

The best perfume I have in my collection now, with that I mean everything ✨ Where to start? With the hatred for nardos 🤭 I found them terrible in perfumeries, too invasive! But here in the heart, together with the coconut, uff! What an experience! It makes the coconut creamy, elegant, sophisticated; it makes it shine. I do not feel the rum note in a stinging way; I feel it sits well with the plum. Reading this, I realise that each note in the pyramid intertwines perfectly with its partner… The musk makes it a perfume you can wear on any occasion, as despite being clearly a Gourmand, it feels clean 🙌🏻 It is a real marvel this perfume; I feel truly like a Greek Goddess when I wear it 💓

The best perfume in my collection right now✨let’s be clear. Starting with my hatred of neroli🤭 in perfumeries I hated them, they were invasive. Here, paired with the coconut in the heart, uff, what an experience! It makes the coconut creamy, elegant, and sophisticated, making it shine. I don’t feel the sharp rum, but rather it works well with the plum; reading this I see that each note intertwines perfectly. The musk makes it clean enough for any occasion, despite being a gourmand. It’s a wonder, I feel like a Greek goddess when I wear it 💓

It’s beautiful in every way; the bottle drives me mad and I love the liquid, but I can’t see myself ever wearing it. What a pity.

I bought it expecting more, as Petra from Lattafa had me sold before. It’s fine, pleasant enough, but I don’t understand the hype. On my skin, the plum and rum dominate; the first time I only smelled the rum, the next day it was all plum with little rum. I can’t smell the neroli or coconut at all. Behind that strong plum, there’s a hint of a flower I can’t identify and something sweet, perhaps vanilla or praline. It projects well for the first 15 minutes, then drops off, and after two hours it’s barely skin scent. I’ve worn it for a month and it hasn’t improved; it seems perfectly ordinary. I hope it shines more in the cold.
SCENTTHERAPY
I’m absolutely smitten. It’s elegant and unique, with that tiare flower bathed in jasmine that has me hooked. At first, the neroli and coconut give a creamy touch, but after two hours the coconut fades, leaving only that intoxicating, subtle tiare. It has completely captivated me.

I bought it blindly based on the good reviews, and although I liked it, it disappointed me quite a bit. The scent is of very high quality, but on my skin there’s far more plum, warm spiced rum, and musky vanilla than neroli with coconut, which was what I expected. That’s why any resemblance to Quattro Pizzi is coincidental; this smells more floral, green, with a more present and original coconut. Its bottle stands out as one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in perfumery. It’s more feminine, versatile, and has good performance. In short, it’s a good perfume, but far from my expectations.

I jumped in to buy it blind due to the good reviews and I must say that although I liked it, it disappointed me quite a bit. The scent is of good quality. The problem is that on my skin there is much more plum, warm spiced rum, and musky vanilla… than neroli and coconut, which was what I expected. That’s why any resemblance to Quattro Pizzi is a coincidence; this smells more floral, green, with a prominent and very original coconut. Its bottle stands out, one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in a long time. More feminine, versatile, and with good performance. To summarise… a good perfume but far from what I expected.

For me, Petra is Lattafa’s best launch of 2025. On my skin, it’s a delicate sweet, nothing cloying, where the creamy coconut blends with juicy plum and neroli, creating something enveloping and sophisticated. Its versatility is key: it’s enjoyed both on fresh days and in the heat of summer, with an elegant aura and nothing invasive. The longevity is spectacular: over 12 hours on skin, and if I apply it before bed, I can still smell it the next day. It has a similar vibe to Casamorati’s Quattro Pizzi, but it’s more delicate and unique. It combines sweetness, elegance, and longevity, becoming an essential jewel.

Its versatility is key: it’s enjoyed both on a fresh day and in summer heat, always elegant and without being overpowering. What a horror of a perfume. Very unisex, by the way. I’ll summarise it as radioactive neroli and synthetic notes soaked in rum. I’m amazed by the scent of the neroli flower, but here it makes my stomach turn. Any coconut? Where? I bought it second-hand and I’ve sold it back. May God bless the people who actually enjoy this scent.

What a terrible perfume. It’s very unisex; I’d sum it up as radioactive, synthetic neroli soaked in rum. I generally love the scent of neroli, but here it makes my stomach turn. Where is the coconut? I bought it second-hand and sold it back. May God bless those who actually enjoy this smell.

I love it. It was love at first sniff. It’s sweet, tipsy, and fruity, but I detect something fresh, earthy, and even damp. It has body, creaminess, and a permanent sweet touch without being cloying. I’m eager for the cold to arrive so I can use it; I think it will be, along with Teriaq, one of my must-haves from the brand. To me, it’s feminine due to the flowers and fruits, but if you like Kamrha, you’ll probably like this too. Still, it’s not a safe blind buy.

The person who said it was a horror knows nothing about perfumery.

Petra could be the best launch of 2025, in my opinion it’s purely feminine. In the opening it smells of plum combined with aged rum, nothing like Khamrah or Teriaq Intense, but fresh and slightly boozy. This doesn’t last long, because the coconut starts light and increases with the minutes. The neroli (subtle), vanilla, and musk make the coconut feel creamy and rich. Good longevity, 6 to 8 hours, with a performance that is felt and noticed. Quite versatile, youthful, elegant, and it doesn’t resemble anything previous from Lattafa. Great perfume, recommended for blind buy or as a gift.

I received Petra and used it straight away; I understand the hype because it’s different from what comes out of Arabia, but it’s not for everyone. The rum is intense, boozy, sweet, and powerful. In the dry down, the neroli sweetens things a bit, and although I’ve been wearing it for three hours, I occasionally catch a hint of vanilla, but what persists is the rum. It’s intense, goes straight to the brain, and seems to last. It sits in the same line as Nebras and December Vanilla. It’s an autumn-winter scent, nothing for summer.

Petra could be the best launch of 2025. It’s strictly feminine; at first you smell plum combined with aged rum, nothing like Khamrah or Teriaq Intense, but fresh and slightly tipsy. This doesn’t last long, because then the coconut starts to become noticeable and increases with the minutes. The subtle neroli, vanilla, and musk make the coconut feel creamy and rich. It has quite good longevity, around 6 to 8 hours, with good performance that projects around you. It’s versatile, youthful, elegant, and doesn’t resemble anything previous from Lattafa. Without a doubt, a great perfume recommended for blind buy or gift.

Petra smells nice, but it doesn’t reach my favourites. On my skin, it comes across as tipsy with the sweetness of praline. After half an hour, fresh and green stems from bouquets of flowers appear. I don’t smell coconut; rather, praline. It’s fresh, goes well during the day, is sexy for the night and in summer, and isn’t overwhelming. I still don’t know if I’ll keep it; I feel it resembles my ElectroTouch from Tous, just with rum. It’s completely different from Musamam White, which smells spiced-balsamic, whereas Petra is tipsy-sweet.
Junesuke
What a triumph this perfume is. On me, it smells incredibly of coconut and plum, with the rum barely noticeable. I suppose it’s ideal for a summer dinner, probably thanks to that intense coconut. It’s nothing like other perfumes I’ve tried, and the bottle is simply gorgeous and elegant.
