Composed by Fabienne Bourhis and launched in 2025, Rose D’Amour by LAYR is a floral fruity scent designed to be worn by women and men alike.
Bulgarian rose takes the lead in a light, radiant manner, set against succulent fruit, verdant accents and a soft ambery base with a whisper of smoke.
It opens with lychee, pear and bergamot alongside a distinctly green tomato leaf impression, softened by incense. The result is crisp and mouth-watering, yet the spiced greenness stops any excess sweetness.
The middle reveals Damask rose from Bulgaria with peony and lily of the valley. Pomelo grapefruit lends a citrussy clarity that keeps the arrangement buoyant and lets the rose shine.
Underneath, vanilla, musk and cashmere wood meet vetiver. The vanilla lends roundness without heaviness, whilst vetiver and woods provide a grounded, mellow foundation for the flowers to linger on.
The character shifts between verdant, aromatic and smoky, enriched by citrus, floral and balsamic facets. A mellow amber warmth with gentle spice develops gradually as incense settles into the base.
