One of my favourites, rescued from my memory with its re-release. A scent from my teenage memory trunk that didn’t fit back then but is now perfect for me as an adult, and I keep it on my nightstand. I understand it has been reformulated and improved (that Grace edition doesn’t sound like the 90s to me; I fear they’ll pull it like everything cool, if anyone knows exactly what it is, please clarify). They say it smells clean/dirty, sweat and animal: perfect description. You notice a soft, velvety lavender that turns sensual. The fact that it’s water and not perfume means it doesn’t get tiring, making you want to apply more. Well done that it appears unisex; I couldn’t agree more, it smells like “the common ground” between men and women, rather than “unisex”. Fresh yes, but not after; strong green/citrus at the start, then not; it’s addictive, precious and dry. For me, it’s unique; I don’t understand the similarity with Clarins. Note: if you’re looking for a fresh, green, citrusy EDT, forget it: this has a vintage roll of an elegant, timeless woman, zero typical, zero “fresh little cologne”, fortunately. Finally, an improved reformulation. It could have stayed the same, but I incredibly prefer the current version, I who am a vintage lady :P.

To wear Eau de Lancaster in vintage version you need tolerance for spiced greens, dusty herbaceous and soapy notes. At first difficult if you are not familiar, then very pleasant. It is like being in a sunny garden with cool and humid areas. A play of light and shadow between trees moved by the wind, with bursts of old-fashioned moss, vetiver and amber. Barely citrus but invigorating after hours, curious that it is refreshingly sour. The vintage bottle maintains depth without being heavy and has a medium trail, with a nice opening that is a trip back in time, when perfumery was art. Eau de Lancaster is unisex, but I imagine it better on a man and it makes me smile that it was once feminine. A perfume that makes me happy, perfect for those who enjoy timeless elegance and do not fear aromas different from the fashion.

It’s a familiar scent; my mother has used it since it was released and I wore it as a child too. I use it all year round, although it is true that it performs better in spring and summer. It has very good projection and longevity for an EDT, and combined with body cream, it has nothing to envy an EDP. I love it and never run out. It’s my fragrance of the day.

Eau de Lancaster is a fragrance I love because I used to wear it a lot. It is chypre, slightly green, fresh and dry. I would wear it all year round, although many people like it in the heat. I find it elegant and somewhat unisex. And despite everything, I find it intense. One of the old school with lots of personality 😉

Eau de Lancaster fits what I ask from a fragrance. Unmistakable personality and character. It is dry, aromatic, spiced, earthy, Mediterranean, long-lasting and projects little, just enough, to be in good company and for people to be able to smell you up close. I like it very much, when I put it on I know I am wearing a different and very revealing scent. For the seaside terrace when night falls, enjoying a good white stew, while they serve the salted dorada and some beautiful green eyes observe and smile at you. The bottle is pretty, the transparent plastic cap closes well and the juice colour is warm and seductive, a soft yellowish green. I hope it survives for a long time.

It is one of the few perfumes I can distinguish when someone wears it, I know which one it is because it has a very characteristic smell. They gave it to me and I used it, but I didn’t like it too much. It smells fresh and citrusy, but it is a strange smell to my nose, like dry. I would not buy it.

Fresh fragrance but with character, it stands out from the rest. I love it for summer, it is perfect for going on holiday to some hot place and doing daytime tourism, at least I associate it with that. For holidays in the mountains, at the sea, in the countryside. Although it can also be perfectly urban. Daytime, unisex, versatile. Sometimes I use it to be at home, just for the pleasure of its freshness and scent, which transmits well-being to me. Delicious after a shower, but for that reason it does not cease to be a quality and style fragrance. I think it is ideal for the office, it is not invasive at all, but it represents very well a person with character and good taste, who knows who they are and what they want. In the city I would not use it at night or to go dressed up, but it plays a huge game for most daytime situations, especially in the hottest months. Freshness, temperament and style join hands in Eau de Lancaster, a timeless classic with much to offer.

A cologne with a lot of personality. Creamy, with that clean/dirty edge that makes it unique. Have you noticed the smell of saliva or baby sweat? That almost edible aroma with a pleasant animal touch. Lancaster smells exactly like this to me half an hour after application. Proof that you can make water without it being citrusy.

I wanted to review this fragrance which had no comments, and in my opinion, it has plenty. It has always been fresh and long-lasting, a staple for daily wear, not overpowering and perfect all year round, though it shines most in spring and summer. It’s classic, fresh yet distinctive—a living myth that embodies the brand’s good times. I see it as a minimalist floral chypre of its era: it doesn’t aim to be more than what it is and fulfils its function perfectly. It’s recognisable, ideal for soft, clear outings; it’s fresh but noticeable—whenever I catch the scent, I know it’s Lancaster, it’s peculiar. It has that light floral chypre touch that makes it usable anytime. The oakmoss is clear and delicate. Its longevity and sillage are enormous, far more than other fragrances in its category that charge triple the price. I recommend it to anyone who likes quality citrus and spices, regardless of age.
