  1. Agonistes

This fragrance is a real cracker. All of its scents are works of art. This one, in particular, attempts to replicate the smell of a church, right in front of the altar with the votive candles for the deceased… and it succeeds. Simply brilliant! If I had to nitpick, it’s a matter of personal taste: I’d slightly reduce the beeswax, which I find a bit overpowering, and increase the myrrh to emphasise the ecclesiastical atmosphere. Otherwise, it’s a gem that fans of gothic and dark aromas simply cannot miss.
