CHAOS IN THE OCEAN PARIS CORNER: One of the best inspirations of Orto Parisi’s Megamare. Marine, fresh, salty, slightly lucid and with lots of personality, it stands out in aroma and has good performance. The difference with Megamare is that the latter’s ingredients are superior, although Chaos in the Ocean is very well crafted and the difference is perceptible. It’s an excellent job, it doesn’t clash at all and is far from bad; it makes you seriously consider comparing it with the original without falling behind. A safe blind buy; given its performance and price, you can’t go wrong. Scent: 9.0. Good projection. Longevity: 6 to 8 hours maximum. Recommended.
I think there’s a 90% similarity between Chaos in the Ocean and Megamare, as jerry7474 rightly said: the difference lies in the quality of the ingredients. But if you’re looking for an aquatic and marine summer scent, at this price it’s the undisputed option. You can detect the green algae with sea salt and calone, with a timid citrus opening and a very soft but pleasant cedar base.
I haven’t tried Orto Parisi’s Megamare, so I can’t give an exact similarity percentage, but the box notes are identical. I wore it last night for dinner and a pub (actually, I put it on in the morning) and I love it: it’s dense and noticeable, yet it doesn’t tire the nose. It’s very selective; it does the work for you: if it shocks someone, they won’t like it, and if they do, you’ve already won half the battle. The next day, two guys on the bus were left speechless; by night there was a split in opinions, some adored it and others repelled it, hee hee. I love having it on my summer list; it will surely give good value. Recommended. For me, it’s super sexy and seems others feel the same too. Ideal for terraces.
The dry-down is pure addiction! You want it on your skin, on your clothes, everywhere. I force myself to bury my nose under my t-shirt collar and sniff it over and over again. Marine, dense, delicate… the best blind buy I’ve ever made!
