Very citrusous opening, then evolves to woody. Long-lasting, enveloping aroma, not cloying and mixes well. Perfumes from this brand are exceptional for their originality, although the drawback is the high price.

Definitely the best lemon note I have smelled (Amalfi, super natural and slightly sweet like candied). Combined with green cypress and Virginia cedar in the base, it is exquisite. Its beastly longevity, 8 to 10h, and monstrous projection stand out. The perfect example that citrus can last and be powerful, not watery like most. I recommend it widely if you seek something powerful and natural.
Undoubtedly the best lemon note I’ve ever smelled (Amalfi lemon, super natural and slightly sweet like candied). With the cypress (also green and citrusy) and Virginia cedar in the base, it’s exquisite. The best part: the longevity is beast-like, lasting 8 to 10 hours with monstrous projection. A perfect proof that citrus can last and be potent, not watery like Terre d’Eau Tres Fraiche, which on my skin lasts two hours and I’m already being generous. I recommend it if you’re looking for something powerful and natural.
Long-lasting citrus. If you like citrus, don’t miss the chance to try Acqua Viva. It’s astonishing, like many from this Italian house. We know citrus usually lasts little, half an hour or so, but here AV makes the lemon last much longer. How? The opening is effervescent lemon that unleashes freshness. It’s not the sugary sweetness that cloying, but fresh and sparkling to withstand the heat. When the lemon settles, the conifers appear in the background. The lemon becomes more shy without disappearing; that’s the noteworthy part. The cypress, cedar, and a touch of earthiness grow without dominating. It gives 8 to 10 hours of fresh lemon, depending on the heat and if it touches clothes, it lasts all day with good projection. Natural aroma, a real lemon, ideal for days over 30°C. For me, it’s unisex, although it looks more masculine. High price like all from the brand, but they last a treat in the wardrobe; a little goes a long way. In short, very natural and unique citrus, the longest-lasting one I know.
Long-lasting citrus. If you love citrus, do not miss the opportunity. It is amazing, like many from this Italian house. We know citrus do not last long, but AV makes the lemon last much longer. Opening is effervescent, fresh and sparkling lemon, not cloying. Then conifers appear in the background. The lemon becomes shy without disappearing, while cypress, cedar and a touch of earth grow without dominating. It gives 8 to 10 hours of freshness, or all day if it grazes clothes. Very good projection. Natural aroma, ideal for days over 30°C. Unisex, although associated with masculinity. High price, but they last a fortune in the wardrobe. A little goes a long way. A very natural, unique and the most long-lasting citrus I know.
The best way to define it is ‘citrus bomb’. It is not complex, the lemon is very noticeable (if you do not like it, better stay away). The woods ‘sweeten’ it a little and give it body, but the citrus is noticeable and persistent. It does not resemble commercial scents and is distinctive. Tested between 20 and 28 degrees, its performance does not drop: minimum 8h with 6 sprays, usually 10-12h with 8 sprays, and sometimes more. Two extra sprays on clothes help, and the next day it smells delicious. Along with Tygar, it is the best performance. Some may be put off by the simplicity versus the price, but it is a quality, exclusive citrus that lasts a long time. The price is justified. Acqua Viva invites you to live. Au revoir!
In summary: it is the best pure citrus you can find. Tasty, fresh yet dense. Unlike its genre, it has formidable performance in longevity and projection. Essential for lovers of Mediterranean citrus taken to excellence.
To summarise: it’s the best pure citrus you can find in perfumeries, pleasant, fresh but dense. Unlike its genre, it has formidable performance in longevity and projection. Essential for lovers of Mediterranean citrus taken to the maximum.
Simple, majestic and hyper-realistic. The best lemon note on the market due to the quality of its ingredients and mastery in assembly. Citrus without being astringent, sweet without being cloying, floral without intruding, woody without being dense. It moves between classic and modern. Less is more: it has achieved perfection. Acqua Viva by Profumum Roma has done it.
Probably the best citrus on the market. Lots of lemon with green notes and light woods. Smells like Amalfi, Italian countryside and the Mediterranean. Less is more. Brutal performance and high price. If you love freshness, it deserves a try.
Probably the king of citrus. Lemon at its finest, with green touches and soft woods. Smells like Amalfi, the Italian countryside, and a holiday. As the uncle says, less is more. Brutal performance and a high price. If you love fresh scents, it’s worth a try.
It is lemon, lemon and few woods. High quality and extreme longevity, but it didn’t blow my mind nor make me want to wear it constantly. I expected more. Scent: 7, Longevity: 12h, Sillage: moderate. Deliveries: it did not meet them.
Among those tested, this citrus takes the crown. A realistic lemon without acidity, with green and woody nuances. Aromatic, versatile and perfect for summer. The balance is impeccable: neither sour nor cloying, not tiring. Flawless, optimal performance and projection above average. A wonder that will empty the bottle.
Similar to Lemon Line, but with superior quality. In the end, it’s a very expensive Lavaloza.
Sample tested. Imagine freshly ironed trousers sprayed with insecticide and lemon floor cleaner. That’s what it smells like. They say it smells super realistically of lemon; I suppose they have a different batch.
Lemon, lemon and more lemon. In the end, I notice woody notes. Perfect for summer and very versatile. Simple but with a very well-crafted lemon.
It’s not a floor cleaner scent as they say; it’s a Puig sport man with seven hours of longevity. Chimpúm.
It smells very realistically of lemon peel and stays there. Depending on what you’re looking for, it doesn’t personally hook me. It lacks depth; it’s like squeezing lemon zest on your body for hours, fun but tiring. I would have added a touch of petit grain or bergamot to give it sweetness, while keeping the lemon as the protagonist. If you added a hint of Ambroxan like in Imagination or Histoire d’Orangers, it would be incredible, but it would stray from the house’s natural and minimalist path. If you’re looking for literally realistic, durable lemon peel, this is for you.
Smells like citronella, nothing more. Ideal so mosquitoes don’t bite you, but I’m not convinced by the perfume for what it costs; it lacks character. Anyway, try it before buying. Best regards.
It smells only of citronela, ideal for keeping mosquitoes away, but it doesn’t convince me for what it costs. It lacks character. Try it before buying, regards.
The opening is sharp, something you have to accept. Citrus scents are usually ephemeral, and lasting longer requires chemical tricks or high concentrations. Once that terrifying citronela cloud fades, a correct, balanced and radiant lemon remains. It’s not as medicinal as Álvarez Gómez; it’s lighter. It’s one-note, but I wouldn’t pay the price of Profumum Roma for this.
Green lemon, fresh and sparkling, very realistic and elegant, not sweet. No marine notes. After a while, a mossy green note accompanies the lemon until the end. It’s simple, masculine, pleasant and fresh, with no dissonances. It has good projection and longevity. You can feel the quality of its ingredients compared to cheaper options.
One of the best citrus scents tried. Lots of lemon with a sweet touch and subtle green and woody notes. Performance is above average, super refreshing for summer.
Exquisite. It opens with a sharp, fresh citrus, then settles into a rich, woody base with a very pleasant cedar note.
The previous one was deleted for no reason, but here it is: it’s a caramel-type lemon, very similar to Álvarez Gómez but with better quality. It doesn’t evolve and breaks the myth of longevity; on my skin, it lasted no more than three hours despite my best efforts. I never understood its success; it seems everyone repeats that it lasts without having tried it.
Second review, the previous one deleted from Fragrantica for no reason. Here a simple scent, basically caramel-type lemon, very similar to the Álvarez Gomez cologne but with more quality. Nothing evolutionary and it breaks the longevity myth: on my skin it never reached three hours, although I wasted the spray. I never understood its popularity; it seems everyone repeats that there’s a citrus that lasts without having tried it.
