  • The opening smells of roasted hazelnut cream, probably due to the saffron. After half an hour, the notes become distinct and it turns more pleasant: a slightly sweet and creamy coffee with a subtle spice touch, a floral note I believe to be lily of the valley, and a pineapple very in the background. It is not for the faint-hearted, but it is different and correct in longevity (about 7 hours in my case), although projection and sillage are contained.

  • Horrible. I came expecting hype from videos in Spanish and English, but the scent smells of unbearable Indian spices right from the opening. I detect no pineapple or anything fresh, nor does it resemble Black Phantom (Wafa by Lattafa is the actual dupe). In the dry-down, it smells slightly of caramel, like those creamy coffee or white chocolate vapers, but it is hyper-synthetic and heavy, as if it were very cheap. Projection is almost non-existent; I imagine it needs more maceration, and longevity is only 5 to 6 hours.

  • Horrible. I was hyped by videos in both Spanish and English, but the scent, regardless of the listed notes, smells of overpowering Indian spices from the very first spray. I detect no pineapple or freshness, and it is certainly not a dupe for Black Phantom to my nose (unlike Wafa from Lattafa). I cannot recommend it. In the dry-down, it smells like creamy vaper-style caramel, coffee, or white chocolate, but I repeat: hyper-synthetic and heavy, as if it contains spices or is very cheap. Projection is almost non-existent; I imagine it will take a couple of months to mature. Longevity is 5-6 hours.

  • Caramel and coffee at the start, then pineapple. Projection is moderate. Ideal for autumn, winter, or spring, and better suited to evening wear. It requires maceration because the opening is very harsh and synthetic. Personally, the coffee exhausts me olfactorily; it is very metallic and synthetic, lacking a creamy note. I use it for layering with sweet fragrances so I can better appreciate its essence.

  • After weeks of use, I say do not buy it blind. At least for me, it smells of roasted coffee upon application, whereas my partner smells burnt caramel, which he dislikes. After an hour, it softens and becomes more pleasant. Some will like it, others will find it awful; do not expect a mass-appeal fragrance. It has good trail and projection for the price, but due to that particular scent, I do not recommend buying it blind.

  • I disliked it on the first day, but after three days I have started to grow on it, I suppose my nose needed time to adjust. Nevertheless, it still is not something to buy blind. The aroma is slightly smoky, with incense notes that give it character.

  • After several weeks, my verdict is clear: do not buy it blind. At first, it smells of roasted coffee to me, but my partner detects burnt caramel and finds it repulsive. Over time, it softens and becomes more pleasant, though opinions remain sharply divided; it is not a fragrance for the masses. Projection and sillage are decent for the price, but that particular scent makes taking a risk a mistake.

On the first day, I sensed a very dark roasted coffee. By the second day, it reminded me somewhat of Bulgari’s Man in Black mixed with coffee and caramel; something in the extra notes makes it seem so. It has excellent projection and longevity; if you apply it to clothing, it lasts over 20 hours. I do not recommend buying it blind, although the price is ridiculous, it can hurt your wallet if you regret it. I gave it more chances and find it good, though very suitable for evening wear (I prefer daytime scents). I give it 7 out of 10.

Lattafa does it again. I admit the first impression was fatal; it smelled very strange and unpleasant, so much so that I capped it and threw it in a corner. Exactly seven days later, when I was about to list it for sale or swap in community groups, I gave it a spray and what a surprise: it was spectacular, a very rich scent. The freshly ground roasted coffee note was very present, accompanied by caramel and vanilla; I immediately cancelled all intention of getting rid of it. In short, it is one of the scents I enjoy wearing most; at night it is a bomb, it makes you feel good, and people notice. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 8/10 (almost 8 hours on skin), Trail and Projection: 8/10. An excellent perfume with an incredible price-to-quality ratio.

I have read that one must let it mature to discover the secrets of this perfume. In my experience, I went to the perfumerie to test it on my skin and see how it developed. Honestly, it was the first fragrance that completely repelled me. It smells of prepared cola cao with powdered milk from a clinic mixed with burnt coffee. The only thing I can say is that the longevity is eternal.

If you are a coffee lover, this is madness for you. Buy blind and you’ll be spot on; it’s a very uncommon yet pleasant scent. The last time I smelled something like this was years ago on a doctor who used niche perfumes. Good longevity, good trail, good price. Thinking of making it my signature scent, as I am a coffee lover…

  • JamemesxD

Probably when you buy it and smell it for the first time, you’ll be disgusted. But that’s because this fragrance needs to macerate for at least a week. Then you’ll be able to detect sweet, smoky, spiced, and eggnog caramel. Also, I feel the saffron and violet leaves don’t blend well here. It’s a fragrance that stands apart from the ordinary, making it interesting. Notable longevity and projection. Good price (approx. $17). I recommend testing before buying, and if you buy blind, heed the suggestions.

  • I’ve read that macerating is recommended to discover this perfume’s secrets. In my experience, I went to the perfumerie to test it on my skin. Honestly, it was the first time a fragrance completely repelled me. It smelled like prepared cola cao with office-milk powder mixed with burnt coffee. What I can say for sure is that the longevity is eternal.

I was tempted to buy it for a long time before finally taking the plunge. At first impression, it reminded me of burnt antifreeze (I know that sounds odd, but it was the first olfactory memory), then to coffee sweets sold here in Mexico in bulk with brown packaging. The perfume is different from what you find in coffee fragrances (I own Halloween Man X, Homem Reconecta, and Uomo Signature, and it resembles none of them); it is one of those scents that you like more the longer you wear it. I do not suggest sticking with the opening, but rather enjoying the evolution. It smells good and is accessible, although I will have to wait for the temperature to drop because it is currently too hot to make a proper judgement.

I have a bottle from July 2023, and unlike others who found it bad at first, I found it exquisite. It is like milk with coffee and almond butter, accompanied by a very creamy and sweet vanilla pineapple dessert. It is a scent I have never smelled; nothing in my collection resembles it, and I loved it at first sniff. That said, anyone wearing this in summer is committing a crime against humanity; it is only for night and cold climates or early spring. Update after a week: longevity is long, but you need to apply more than six sprays, while the trail lasts between 2 and 3 hours. I have received compliments from people under 24; someone said it smelled of coconut, but not a feminine coconut, rather a sweet masculine one. A friend compared it to Victoria Secret’s Coconut Splash.

Afterwards, it reminded me of coffee sweets sold here in Mexico in bulk in brown packaging (the yellow ones are butter). • It happened to me as it does for most: I hated it the first time I smelled it, but after a week, it turned into an addiction. To me, the opening smells metallic; the pineapple and saffron burst out like sparks before giving way to caramel and coffee. In short, it smells like caramel popcorn accompanied by an egg-nog coffee.

  • I liked the opening, contrary to what is written. It is pineapple, but distinct from the classic Arab pineapple type like Club de Nuit. I was sceptical about combining pineapple and coffee, but it turned out to be a very peculiar toasted pineapple. It dries down into light coffee and toffee notes, but the dry-down is slow and the toasted pineapple remains almost throughout the wear. I don’t see it as exclusive to autumn-winter; I think it is a good perfume for a spring or summer evening if the weather isn’t cooperating. Excellent for rainy spring-summer days. I bought it because it is very coffee-focused, and from that perspective, it is indeed a blind buy for coffee lovers. The bottle is beautiful, well-designed, the atomiser is excellent, and the cap is solid. In short: ‘Pineapple with a heavy roast’.

I don’t see it as exclusive to autumn or winter due to that fruity touch; I think it suits a spring evening and even summer if the weather isn’t too warm. Excellent for rainy spring and summer days. I bought it for its strong coffee character, and yes, it is a blind buy for coffee lovers. Special mention to the bottle: beautiful, well-designed, with an excellent atomiser and a very solid cap.

Brutal value for money; it smells genuinely high-quality and lasts a long time on the skin. Leaves a soft, sweet trail that I absolutely adore, perfect for cold weather. Truly enjoyable and fully recommended. For me, 10/10.

Brilliant value for money, a quality scent that lasts quite a while on the skin. It leaves a soft sweetness in the air that I absolutely loved, perfect for cold weather. Very enjoyable and fully recommended. For me, 10/10.

  • This is my first review; I have been a collector for 28 years. This is the only perfume I had to throw away. It smells of vomit with caramel. I cannot recommend it.

  • First time writing a review after 28 years of collecting perfumes, and this is the only one I’ve thrown away. It smells like vomit with caramel; I wouldn’t recommend it.

Lattafa is a brand I hadn’t bet on much and I must admit I come to swallow my words. This beauty is a fine replica, at least for me, as it has a tremendous, huge resemblance to Killian’s Black Phantom. Exquisite, powdery, very seductive and above all powerful in trail, aroma, strength and longevity. It has fascinated me, I want it.

  • I bought it 2 months ago and the first time I was taken aback. The opening notes smelled too strong, between leather and burnt plastic or petrol, and that smell lasted too long. After several hours, the scent became more pleasant, where the caramel and vanilla notes were well perceived, creamy notes. I let it macerate for 1 month and it helped a lot (honestly I didn’t think it would make much difference, as other perfumes from the same house seemed good from the start). That leather/plastic smell no longer exists, it smells like leather (quite masculine and seductive) with a citrus touch (I suppose it’s the pineapple) and something smoky. I don’t know what the violet leaves smell like, but after hours the coffee mixed with caramel and vanilla is felt. The coffee note is not as pronounced as I expected, I thought it would be like Halloween Man X, but it isn’t. Some days the heart notes smell like caramel and vanilla, and others like coconut. The longevity and projection are quite good (in a small room people commented that everything smelled good, and it turned out to be this perfume applied 4 hours ago). I recommend it if you like sweet and lactonic fragrances (without losing their masculine character), and I would buy it again, but you must have patience with that strong and rare opening that disappears after about a month.

  • I LOVE IT, what a WARM and SPECIAL aroma. From the day I tried it, I found it particular and distinctive. That opening with SAFFRON and that tone of BUTTER in the base with the SWEETNESS of that COFFEE☕make it unique. From my sense of smell, it reminds me of when you go to the CINEMA and are in the POP-CORN queue🍿, that mix of SWEETS, that’s what this exquisite PERFUME smells like and it’s the best definition. In terms of longevity it’s very good, but I feel it causes certain OLFATORY FATIGUE after 2 hours. 💯% recommended, a 9/10. 👃🏼🍿☕🪻🧈🤎

  • Alisonarmando31

Yes. The opening is leather with car oil, burnt plastic and petrol, or whatever it is, which makes it feel rough, aggressive and tremendously unpleasant to me. I have the hope that by macerating it as I’ve read in comments, it will improve. For now, I use it letting half an hour pass before going out so as not to repel people and I try not to obsess over whether it smells good yet, because it keeps smelling bad until about an hour later.

  • Pendragon

A perfume that is too rich. The first time I tried it, the scent was strange, almost unpleasant, but after two weeks of resting it changed completely for the better. I define it as warm, sweet and intoxicating. It’s a good alternative for aroma and price for winter, as it is very sweet and I can quite detect the coffee note. It lasts 6 to 7 hours on my skin and the price is a laugh.

  • I’ve just received it. Two sprays: it smells like a new car, burnt plastic, unpleasant, although with a sweet base. Reading previous reviews, I must let it macerate and will come back to give an opinion. I’ll give it time because I believe it can change and that’s what I hope. The good thing about these experiences is that you’re left with the adrenaline of ordering blind: what will this fragrance be? Let’s give it two chances and have patience.

  • Exactly like the review below, it happened to me exactly the same; now it’s a fantastic perfume for what I paid, but at first it was horrible!

  • ShiseidoTactics

I had the same impression as others: a synthetic opening, like new car plastic. But as it dried, it revealed a very authentic side that doesn’t remind me of anything. Now that I’ve read the declared notes, it seems even more interesting to me. But its local price ($53) makes me hesitate…

  • Ajayeb Dubai is not one to judge at first sight. If I had stuck with that initial synthetic, almost plastic opening, reminiscent of a new car in the sun, I would have thrown it away. But patience works miracles. Months later, it’s a different beast: the pineapple turns smoky and elegant, the coffee stops burning and becomes a creamy vanilla. It’s sweet, lactonic, masculine and addictive. The longevity is decent and the trail is contained, which is a relief. It’s not versatile; it works in the cold, period. It doesn’t seem like Black Phantom or usual clones, a merit in this sea of copies. For the price, the value for money is indecent. The problem is that Lattafa launches perfumes at the speed of a TikTok feed without testing them. Ajayeb came out smelling like a mistake and only revealed its value over time. With more control, it would have convinced from the start, but when haste prevails, the consumer provides the patience.
