It left me speechless at first sniff; it’s a magnet for compliments. Very sweet, ideal for evening, but its blend of amber, citrus, and cedar is pure magic for going out. It leaves a sweet trail on the skin, while cedar lingers on clothes, so if you’re a man, wear it on your clothes, and if you’re a woman, on your skin. Charming and perfect for both young and mature people. 8/10
My husband gave it to me for Mother’s Day, and although it’s fresh with sweet fruity notes and lots of wood, on me it stays very masculine. It smells delicious, but the wood is excessive for me and bothers me after a few minutes. The longevity is incredible: I shower and it’s still there 18 hours without exaggeration, on clothes until I wash them. If you like citrus, woody, fresh perfumes with more masculine character, this is for you. As for value for money (it’s affordable), it’s worth every penny.
My husband gave it to me for Mother’s Day, and to be honest, on me it comes across as too masculine. The opening is fresh, with sweet fruity notes and lots of wood. I tried it on him and it smells delicious, but for me there’s an excess of wood that bothers me after a few minutes. The longevity is incredible: I shower and it’s still there for about 18 hours without exaggeration, and on clothes until I wash them. It seems people confuse this Amber Oud with the Gold Edition, but in reality, it smells very much like Interlude. It’s not a perfume for ‘dates’; although I like it, it’s serious and hard to please everyone; I find it smoky and spicy. The Gold Edition is a clone of Xerjoff Erba Pura and, although it’s easier to like, for me it was a bomb that harassed me until I threw it away because I couldn’t wear it on my skin; I felt it was very feminine, whereas this regular Amber Oud I consider more masculine.
I know Interlude; I tried it some time ago and can’t quite recall the scent, but I remember it was very pleasant. Anecdote: the shop assistant told me it was ‘honeyed’, but the notes don’t include honey. Nevertheless, I confirm it smells of honey, though ultimately it’s a classic woody amber.
I love it; it’s long-lasting and absolutely delicious, but be careful: don’t spray too much, as it smells beastly and becomes overpowering.
A 100% masculine scent, a budget inspiration for Amouage Interlude Man. Although created by Pierre Negrin, it’s a classic, westernised Arab niche fragrance: dark as hell, without Attar, featuring spices, woods (cedar and oud-like notes, nothing faecal), resins (close to opoponax and laudanum), and lots of amber. It has the same versatility as the original, meaning it’s only for the brave. Those who claim this is unisex are smoking hashish or overdoing their hairspray. Honestly, I’d find it weird to smell on a woman. If you already own Interlude Man (even as a decant) or any clone/inspiration—there are plenty on the market at great prices—buying this seems redundant. That said, it smells and performs incredibly well.
