Very sweet, evoking tenderness and innocence. Reminds me of Flower by Kenzo EDP, but more toned down. Poudrée is subtle, soft, and elegant. Upon spraying, you first note very refined talc, then a faint sweetness with flowers over a mist. A scent for a fine, sophisticated lady. A year later, the sharp sweet note tired me out and I sold it. Would I buy it again: no.
From a male perspective: it is not an exact clone, but it resembles Valentino Valentina Poudrée and Narciso Poudrée greatly. I fell in love with the scent and bought it for personal use, a guilty pleasure. It is sweet, very sweet at first, but not cloying. It is not fruity syrupy, but powdery and aged. Basically vanilla, tonka bean, and musk with rice powder and talcs. It evokes innocence and tenderness, but also maturity. It is not for vibrant women wanting to attract attention; it is for quiet, mature women who enjoy a milky coffee or floral tea in a fresh patio. I use it with great pleasure, not very often as it is feminine, but when I do, I love it and feel happy all day. As it dries, it becomes unisex, with warm, earthy, and woody notes thanks to cedar, vetiver, and patchouli. Projection and sillage are moderate, longevity is average, but at this price you can reapply without fear.
Look, from a man’s perspective: first off, it’s not an exact clone, but it comes very close to Valentino Valentina Poudrée and Narciso Narciso Poudrée. Truth be told, I was hooked from the first spray and went straight back to the supplier to buy some for myself; it’s a guilty pleasure. It smells sweet, very sweet at first, but without being cloying or turning syrupy or fruity; it’s a powdery, aged sweetness. Basically, vanilla, tonka bean and musk blended with rice powder and talcs. To me, it evokes innocence and tenderness, but also maturity; I don’t think it’s for vibrant women who want to stand out in a busy world. Rather, it’s for quiet, mature women who enjoy a morning in the garden with milky coffee or floral tea; that’s its profile. I use it gladly, not very often because it is indeed feminine, but when I wear it I love it, I’m happy all day and keep reapplying. As it dries down it becomes unisex, the sweetness lowers and the warm, earthy, woody side rises thanks to cedar, vetiver and patchouli. It has moderate projection and fixation and medium longevity, but given the price you can reapply without a care.
I bought a sample looking for something similar to Narciso Poudrée but with more sillage and projection. I have mixed feelings. Narciso feels clean, coquettish, and feminine; this Lattafa one feels a bit like an older lady. It is not that I dislike it, but it conveys nothing to me. It left me indifferent and lacks the sillage or projection I was seeking.
Elegant, quiet yet powerful due to its vanilla and powdery base. The flowers give a mature rose air, but they are not the main focus. It is an elegant sweetness with sweet white woods. I love it; it is not memorable but charming for classic days. For the price, it beats many budget brands. I paid $20 and see there are offers. I will buy more from the line.
It’s a very elegant fragrance, calm yet powerful thanks to its slightly vanilla and powdery base. The flowers blend to give a mature rose, but it’s not the main focus. To me it’s an elegant, vanilla sweetness with sweet and white woods. I love it; it’s not memorable, but certainly charming for days when I want to feel more classic. For the price it outperforms much cheaper perfumery. It cost me $20 and as far as I can see it’s available for less. I’ll be getting more from the line.
It is definitely a classic scent, with that vintage powdery touch that everyone loves. Without losing its charm. From the first spray it wraps you in a vanilla and powdery aura, without being excessively sweet. Well executed overall. I feel it’s a perfume for everyday wear, something that doesn’t overwhelm anyone and is something I value immensely. I could quite easily wear it as a signature. Disclaimer: it is NOT for young people; if you’re looking for that, better not to pick it up.
Definitely classic, with a dusty vintage touch, yet beautiful. From the first spray, it wraps you in a vanilla and dusty aura, not overly sweet. Well executed. I feel it is for everyday wear, without overwhelming anyone, which I value immensely. It could be a signature. Disclaimer: not for the young; if you are looking for that, better not.
A nice, stately scent, not vintage. It suits young adults and older ladies well. The musk and vanilla stand out. Perhaps if you like Ombre Rose or Insolence, you might enjoy it, though it doesn’t feel very youthful. On my skin it lasts a long time with moderate sillage.
To be brief: sweet rice talk 😊
Smells like expensive perfume: vanilla with talc, but delicious. Only downside is it comes too concentrated for the price.
This smells like an expensive perfume; it’s a talc-dusted vanilla but it tastes delicious. It’s a lot, far too much for that price.
It has that rose and talc touch; I’ll give it a try in autumn. I don’t love it entirely, but it is wearable. I still prefer Scarlet.
