Descripción
Angel Étoile des Rêves by Mugler is an oriental vanilla fragrance for women. This composition, created by Olivier Cresp and launched in 2016, unfolds an olfactive pyramid where top notes of bitter orange, bergamot, and jasmine give way to a heart of rose, lily of the valley, and vanilla, settling on a base of vanilla, musk, and amber.

A fragrance that retains much of the original Angel’s DNA; it’s impossible not to think of its creator (if you know Angel, you’ll understand what I mean). This version is sweeter, featuring a mentholated and candied patchouli. It’s very linear and direct, distilled from the best of the original. It’s like Angel’s sister—I’ll call her Angelica. It has a fruity touch, like passionfruit, which was already in the star perfume. It seems like a lighter, more wearable version of the original; they’re inseparable. It’s less aggressive yet unmistakable: they are sisters, one more refined (Angelica) and the other more vintage (Angel). If the original was too much for you, try her sister; I guarantee it won’t be an assault on your nose. It develops in the heart phase of the original, remaining sweet but refined. I must say, I like it.
Straight out of the bottle, it smells tremendously like Angel. Although there are changes, the DNA is very present, yet it is relatively different. At first, I detect a strong confectionery aroma with Angel’s patchouli, but it’s less heavy and intrusive, keeping the sweet passionfruit. It’s a supremely linear fragrance that doesn’t evolve; it’s good, but more than the Nuit version, it would be the least intrusive version of Angel with a tropical passionfruit touch. It reminds me of a summer version of Angel, especially since Angel Cruisière recently launched (smells of mango) and this one of passionfruit. The longevity is much shorter than the original, around three hours or less; not as intense, but its similarity is undeniable. If you like Angel, you’ll like this Nuit. Good sillage, good projection. Season of use: Autumn and Winter, though I dare to wear it in summer without issue as it’s lighter and fruitier.
It opens like a beastly version of Angel. While there are nuances, the DNA is there but with a distinct twist. Initially, it smells strongly of confectionery with that Angel patchouli, yet it’s less heavy and intrusive, retaining the sweet passionfruit note. It’s a very linear fragrance that evolves very little. It’s good, but rather than being the original Nocturne, it’s the less invasive version of Angel, with a tropical passionfruit touch. It reminds me of a summer version of Angel, especially compared to Angel Crucifer which smells of mango, whereas this is passionfruit. The longevity is much shorter than the original Angel, around three hours or less; not as intense, but the similarity is undeniable. If you like Angel, you’ll like this Nocturne. Sillage and projection are decent. Season: autumn and winter, but I dare to wear it in summer without issue because it’s lighter and fruitier.
