  I used to wear this perfume in spring; it had a very singular aroma surely due to the linden flower plus it had a soapy touch and lasted a long time on the skin. It was extremely pleasant and very relaxing.

  I picked up a bottle of this wonderful perfume at the duty-free shop in Barajas airport and it enchanted me the moment I sprayed it. It’s a beast floral sweet but not overwhelming ideal for me on cold days and especially in the evenings and nights; its longevity is incredible. People always asked me what I was wearing. A jewel for the olfactory senses. What a pity I never found it again.

  If there’s a perfume I’ve never tried but that hooks me it’s Aqua de Guerlain… I’m not super obsessive about reformulations and prefer to live in the now but comparing Guerlain’s former fragrances—delicate and luxurious—to what they produce today makes me furious. The brand’s communication also fails: they used to run gorgeous campaigns now they show a doll scaling buildings and drinking champagne as if she were a hellish influencer and on top of that they call the perfume “The Little Black Dress” or worse The Ideal Man”. I’ve never tried this Aromaparfum Apaisant, but its notes intrigue me: linden flower with that honeyed, cloying scent, mimosa—one of my favourite flowers—with its aniseed tinkling, chamomile, a touch of absinthe to add bitterness… I’m very interested; I imagine a very yellow floral with a slight greenish nuance… I think it lasted half a TV news bulletin, like so many other Guerlains of this era.
