From LAFCO New York, Bare Summer arrived in 2026 as a musky floral woody fragrance for women and men. Created by Arnoud Winter, it favours restraint and freshness over richness.
The composition pairs an aromatic citrus-green start with a rose and white-flower centre lifted by brisk spices, before softening towards musk, amber and pale woods with a sandy dryness.
Top notes of myrtle, bergamot, quince, petitgrain and coriander set a tidy, herbal-citrus tone. Bergamot provides lift, quince a rounded fruitiness, petitgrain a neat bitterness and coriander a green snap.
At the centre, ginger, cardamom, magnolia, rose and jasmine keep the florals buoyant. The spices lend definition rather than warmth, magnolia feels smooth and light, rose stays dewy and jasmine remains translucent.
The drydown of ambrette, amber, musk, driftwood, sand and patchouli gives the lasting character. Musky ambrette and mellow amber are paired with driftwood and sand for a polished, mineral-leaning softness, with patchouli kept discreet.
Worn in warm conditions, it reads as clean fibres and sun-touched skin, close-wearing and composed. It works well for daytime, office air-conditioning or relaxed evenings when a fresh, well-groomed impression is wanted.
