There’s a slight, pleasant bitter aftertaste, with fig taking centre stage, a spicy touch and plenty of musk. While it’s basically fig, it smells like a classic floral with fruit, reminiscent of Anaïs or Miracle but with fig. I don’t detect the fresh, medicinal glycyrrhiza from the tree, but rather that super-musky side, which is my disappointment; I was looking for freshness and found a unisex fig scent that shines on its own. It’s not bad, it’s rich, refined and elegant, ideal for aromatic florals. It lasts quite a while and you can tell. If you’re looking for something fresh for summer, look elsewhere; this is for autumn, winter or cold springs. It can be worn in the heat, but it would overwhelm me in summer. It was a blind buy, but as it reminded me of 80s and 90s florals with a modern twist, I gave it to my mother, a faithful user of Anaïs and Miracle.
