It’s a hybrid of By the Fireplace and Black Phantom. I didn’t expect them to add this gem to the website, but if you get a chance to buy it blind, don’t hesitate for a second. For lovers of sweet, boozy scents, it competes with the original Black Phantom, though with better projection than the current gold batches: it’s like they kept Kilian’s chocolatey opening but added an extra hit of sugar and roasted chestnuts. It lasts around 8-9 hours, with beastly projection for the first 2 hours before gradually fading without disappearing, lingering until the end with a moderate but dense trail and projection. At this point, I wouldn’t buy Black Phantom again due to the reformulation; while it lasts, it doesn’t evoke what the silver batches achieved. If you’re looking for an alternative to By the Fireplace, this diverges more from that DNA, sitting at roughly 75% Black Phantom and 25% By the Fireplace. It’s a total night-time scent, dark in character yet incredibly seductive, perfect for turning heads. If you enjoy boozy/gourmand fragrances, go all out. Without a doubt, the best from DUA. 9/10
