Something strange happened with this fragrance. Today, looking for something spring-like, I tried this new Hugo Boss release. At first, it reminded me of the Femme by the same designer – fresh but very floral. Pleasant, yes, but common; nothing made me bat an eyelid. After a few hours, it evolved to resemble Chanel’s Allure quite a lot, perhaps with slightly more citrus notes, but that vanilla ending doesn’t fit the freshness expected from warm-weather seasonal perfumes. In the end, a rather unoriginal scent. For the same price, there are better options available.
They gave me this perfume because I insisted, thinking the pink bottle would be something sweet. I heard it on a perfumery paper before and liked it, fresh, a bit sweet, and floral. Now, well, it honestly smells like KAS orange and then Mercadona body cream, plus it doesn’t last at all. I’m glad it doesn’t last with these characteristics. I think Boss has missed the mark badly; a great disappointment. I’ll stick to the classics and not take more risks.
I just bought it because I tried it and loved it, but now I’m disappointed. I love the smell, very fresh and a little sweet, just enough, but it doesn’t last at all. After half an hour it’s less noticeable and after two hours it’s gone. It seems like a cheap brand fragrance like Shakira or Bustamante, and on top of that, it’s an eau de parfum and still doesn’t last.
I tried it yesterday and liked it. It’s perfect for daily wear, not sweet, so it disappoints many, but it’s very easy to use and would work well in the office. It’s fresh, floral, and slightly green due to the cactus, which was what caught my attention most. The result is simplicity and elegance at the same time.
Very floral, especially rose. It has a cheerful opening that reminds me of when I was young, but that spark disappears in a minute, leaving a pleasant scent that also lasts very little. It’s simple, easy to use, for daytime or work, but nothing special or original.
It’s strange, but I detect citrus notes in this perfume that don’t appear in the notes list. In the opening, it’s exquisite for its freshness. Then the freesias appear (I didn’t notice the roses). Towards the dry down, the sandalwood emerges softly, allowing the cedar to take the lead. It feels absolutely New York to me. I imagine it on the ladies of Woody Allen; who perfume themselves as they pass, by convention… Simple but rich. It’s like a basic garment to have in any wardrobe. Con: its longevity is scarce.
It’s strange, but I detect citrus notes that aren’t listed. The opening is exquisite due to the freshness, then the freesia appears (I didn’t notice the roses), and finally a soft sandalwood with cedar. It smells New York-ish, like the ladies in Woody Allen films who perfume themselves out of convention. It’s simple but rich, like a basic garment. Negative point: the longevity is scarce.
Déjà vu. I encountered it at Christmas in a bank; the counter assistant was overwhelmed and her perfume captivated me. I bought it and upon wearing it, I discovered it smells almost identical to Jovan’s Fresh Musk, my childhood perfume that no longer exists. It’s musky, aquatic, and fruity, with creamy rose, jasmine, and hints of citrus or green tea. It’s not very sweet, vaguely reminiscent of Rose the One but fresher. It’s feminine, pure, and urban. I think it’s for those over 25, refined, and suitable for formal or daily settings. I wouldn’t wear it in winter, but in the heat it’s perfect, although it lasts only until midday.
DEJÀ VU. I encountered it one day amidst the Christmas festivities; I had to go to the bank and the teller was absolutely knackered, sitting, taking calls, standing up and sitting down again. During one of those walks, a whiff of her perfume reached me and impressed me so much that, once finished, I discreetly asked about the scent. I’m not usually one for instant perfume crushes, but there was something there that caught me, and I didn’t know what it was until later. I bought the bottle and it has kept me hooked. With use, I discovered its near-exact resemblance to a perfume I had as a child, Jovan’s Fresh Musk, which has no entry on Fragrantica but was legendary. It was musky-fruity, inspired by a tropical jungle, with a bottle that looked like a parrot, and it was my favourite until it broke and is no longer available. In discovering Ma Vie that day, my heart beat faster than my head. Although the advertising concepts are diametrically different, the scent is the same and is exceptional. It seems mainly aquatic musk with fruity notes (like peach), a creamy rose and jasmine, with fresh, cheerful flashes that could be citrus, juicy cactus, or even green tea. It’s not very sweet, though at times it vaguely recalls Rose the One, but less sweet and fresher. The overall impression is feminine, pure, young, serene, cheerful, delicate and urban. USE: Although it’s vital and youthful, I think it’s a more mature profile (+25), because nowadays teenagers only aspire to smell like sugar. It’s refined, suitable for formal and professional environments, and ideal for daily daytime wear. I don’t think I’d wear it in full winter, but for now it’s perfect in hot weather, although it only lasts until midday.
I love the colour and the scent is a fruity floral, perfect for summer and daytime wear.
I disagree with those who say it doesn’t last; on my skin, it lasts for hours. I wore it at 11 and it was still smelling at 20:45. It’s very feminine, romantic, and tender, smelling clean like Biotherm soap. It’s for daily wear and the office because it’s not overpowering, though I wouldn’t wear it in very hot weather.
It’s a light, fresh option for spring or autumn. Although it contains cactus, which is unusual, the scent isn’t original or novel, but it’s not bad. It’s rich, creamy, with a strong rose note and quite refreshing. I like it for informal situations, but you need to reapply it every four hours for it to be noticeable.
I went hoping to try it because of its resemblance to Gucci Rush 2. The heart notes smell identical, so it must be the freesia, but it lacks that freshness and sensuality of the original, leaving only a faint approximation. It doesn’t need to copy it, but unfortunately, it doesn’t make me dream as Rush 2 did.
I’m surprised it’s a perfume, as it lasts less than some cheap colognes I have. It’s a subtle and delicate scent, but the longevity is a huge flaw. Without a doubt, I would have repurchased if it lasted longer. On my skin it lasts at most half an hour, although it lingers a bit more on clothes. In summary: I wouldn’t repeat. I think it’s a tender and delicate scent, perfect straight out of the shower, but too expensive to give the condescending use one would give to a more economical cologne.
“Girls these days only want a smell of sugar”, I couldn’t have said it better. It adds coconut, vanilla and sugar, that’s all! I’d rather say they’re starving. This perfume catches my attention because of the cactus, which of all the cactus flowers will it be? I’d like to try it before deciding to buy.
They gave me a 2 ml sample and it’s a good perfume, but unfortunately it’s not original; it smells exactly like the CK One from ’94. For me, it’s nothing new, although perhaps others might be just as taken. The notes might be different, but I invite you to compare.
Pleasant, linear and fairly basic, creamy scent. I wouldn’t buy it myself because it’s quite soft and the aroma tells me nothing. It’s ideal for gifting as it’s a versatile perfume.
Pleasant scent, fairly linear and basic, with a creamy touch. I wouldn’t buy it because it’s very soft and the aroma doesn’t speak to me. Ideal for gifting, it’s the perfect all-rounder.
Youthful aroma, slightly woody, nothing extroverted or special. What hooked me most was the opening, something sparkling. Although it’s not particularly special, it’s a daily fragrance that could be worth it.
I’m a Hugo Boss fan and own many of their perfumes, but with this one I had a huge disappointment. The opening is superb, but then there’s no trace left. It disappears incredibly fast. A real shame.
It’s a nice, easy fragrance for daily use in any season. I think it’s a fantastic option for university, the office, or everyday life. I believe it’s undervalued; it has a pleasant, light floral scent, a rose/wood combo that is neither invasive nor aggressive. It’s calming, feminine and elegant, which is appreciated in these environments, because although I adore Alien, when someone wears it too heavily in a closed space (class or office) it becomes horrible and suffocating. It lasts about five hours. Furthermore, where I live I’ve found it on promotion at a very good price, so for me it’s worth it. Also, I think it’s excellent for gifting.
It’s a lovely, easy perfume and perfect for everyday use in any season. I think it’s a fantastic option for uni or the office. I believe it’s underrated: it has a light, pleasant floral, a pink/wood combo that’s nothing aggressive. It’s calm, feminine, and elegant, which is a relief in enclosed spaces. Unlike things like Alien, which can be overwhelming in class, this is discreet. It lasts about five hours. Plus, where I live I find it on promotion and at a good price, it’s worth it and excellent for gifting.
I swapped it to try something new. It doesn’t say anything to me and there’s a note I absolutely dislike at the beginning, I suppose the cactus. It’s average, with very short longevity. It passes by without making a splash.
Someone smelled it and bought it for me, but I lost interest quickly. I find it boring and childish. It’s not boring because it’s easy to wear, but for that very reason, it doesn’t catch the eye; to me, it lacks personality. It also doesn’t smell like the Hugo Boss signature, which I don’t like anyway. It’s a bit weak and less obvious than I expected.
I picked it up in a gap between flights, even though I’m not a huge Hugo Boss fan and usually prefer to be more selective. I don’t like florals, but they don’t dominate here; the balance with citrus and wood makes it light and pleasant. It’s ideal for everyday wear: feminine, without being too mature or childish. It’s earned me compliments and is hard to find in Argentina, although luck smiled upon me on another trip. Fair price and nothing extravagant. The longevity isn’t what I expected, lasting only three or four hours, but it’s worth it.
I love it, it smells very fresh, feminine and youthful. It’s not invasive and easy to wear. The problem is that it lasts very little; after three hours there’s nothing left. It lasts longer on clothes and gives them a pleasant touch.
I love this fragrance; it has a very fresh, feminine and youthful aroma. It’s not invasive and easy to wear. The problem is that it has very short longevity; I feel that after three hours there’s hardly any scent left. On clothes it lasts longer and gives the garments a pleasant touch.
I really like this fragrance. On my skin every note is noticeable: a green opening, then white flowers with the sweetness of the rose, and the woods only at the base. It lasts about four hours with a low trail. It’s for daily wear, for nurses, secretaries, teachers or anyone working with the public who wants to smell good without annoying anyone.
It’s fresh, youthful and very pleasant, nothing cloying. A great option for the heat. They showed it to me saying it had peach, and now that I see the notes I can’t believe it doesn’t come out, because it smells totally of that. It reminds me a lot of Escada Summer Festival, which costs a bit less.
Soft, discreet and romantic. Floral and sweet, just what I was looking for for everyday wear. I detect the rose and the wood.
A pretty and feminine fragrance. I enjoyed the opening, which smells of cactus flesh, but soon it becomes floral with rose, typical of beauty products. Longevity is poor, about five hours on my skin with a projection of only two. I see it for the office or all year round: the trail is potent for those close by, but the scent is harmless and pleasant. Pleasant: 6/10, Interesting: 5/10, Versatile: 8/10, Original: 5/10
I was gifted it years ago and still have it. It’s not ugly; in fact, I love it, but I feel it’s super formal and, being young, I don’t have many opportunities to wear it. It smells delicious, super woody yet elegant. Ideal for interviews, the office or evening dinners; the cedar gives it a mysterious air but it remains youthful. It could be the signature scent of a well-groomed, elegant young girl. The longevity and trail are moderate, and together with the price (neither cheap nor expensive), I’m unsure if I’d buy it again.
Meh… I was gifted it and it’s pleasant, but it disappears in two hours. Nothing special about it.
It’s a pleasant, delicate floral-sweet fragrance, but very simple. It lacks that attractive effect you’re looking for. On my skin, the jasmine stands out, followed by the rose, and finally a barely woody touch. The projection is low, about two hours, so you need to reapply several times a day. I see it as daily wear and for daytime, to smell nice without standing out. It’s not super sweet or a nineties vintage; it’s linear and mid-range. I like it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
Floral, delicate and super feminine, with a sweet touch. Ideal for heart-stopping summers (and any other time). It’s long-lasting, has a good trail and smells very clean and pleasant.
My mother used this in 2017 when I was 19. It smells of roses, fresh and delicate, perfect for the heat of the Mediterranean coast when she was working in her fifties. It doesn’t suit me as I’m not one of those who enjoy rose as the star note; perhaps when I reach her age my opinion will change, but for now my niche is jasmine, ylang-ylang, lemongrass and musk 💕
It was my mother’s perfume in 2017; I was 19 years old. It’s a rose scent, it suits her very well, smells fresh and delicate, perfect for daily wear in the stifling summers of the Mediterranean coast. She was already 50 and used it for work. On me, I don’t like it because I don’t enjoy perfumes where the rose is the protagonist. Perhaps I’ll change my mind when I reach her age, but for now I’ve found my niche, which is jasmine, ylang-ylang, lemongrass and musk 💕
