Brilliant! It is exactly the type of fragrance that delights me. Perhaps the name „Café Tube-Roses would have been more appropriate. The opening dispels a strong aroma of espresso coffee with a soft hint of mandarin. Soon the cacao appears alongside slightly fruity rose oil a berry-like scent. The cardamom only nuances the ensemble and the vanilla surrounds the fragrance as if it were syrup for a gourmet pastry flan. Only CAFÉ TUBEROSA from Atelier has managed to surpass Tom Ford’s attempts with Tobacco Vanille and Café Rose with genius thanks to the hyper-realistic authenticity of the fresh coffee grain combined with neroli with citrus and vanilla in a tropical atmosphere at a more accessible price but with the exclusivity of niche perfumes.
Café Tuberosa is a fragrance that has won me over from start to finish. Its typical Atelier cologne opening gives way to a realistic coffee nothing heavy or synthetic which makes it dense. When we are enchanted by this coffee a creamy modern and juicy neroli surrounds us creating a sensual and addictive ensemble. The cacao and vanilla complement the natural sweetness without exception. On the skin it lasts a long time and the trail is acceptable if you are generous with the sprays. Along with Vanille Insensee they will be my next purchases because I have found the perfect middle ground I needed with gourmand fragrances. Atelier offers pure perfumes without synthetic or heavy compounds. I adore this house; let’s hope that after being acquired by L’Oréal they don’t start doing crazy things.
It opens with the most realistic coffee I’ve ever heard in a perfume. Gradually the neroli enters initially slightly green but becoming creamy; the best part is that I don’t find it excessively buttery or sticky like in other perfumes with this note. After a while I notice the rose nothing metallic more like syrup. Alongside it I perceive very subtle cacao and vanilla. It’s clear they are there without clashing with the coffee (now calmer) the neroli and the rose. Finally it dries down to a base of vanilla-infused cacao with light floral and coffee nuances. It’s a velvety fragile scent slightly feminine on me but generally I see it as unisex. The performance is good; I smell it for quite a while and the projection is acceptable though a little more wouldn’t hurt but I’m not complaining. It can be worn in any weather as although it lists notes that can sometimes be heavy here the result is light (not weak). I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s been a while since a new Atelier launch gave me such good feelings and this one has succeeded. I really like how it smells it performs well and it’s available at a good price so little more can be added.
I love it very elegant but it reminds me of an elegant distinguished older lady. Is that possible? Can anyone help me?
Although it lists citrus notes at the start it smells nothing of the sort. It opens with a raw powdered coffee scent as if you put your nose directly into the kitchen coffee jar. Then the neroli shines a mature one yes exactly that neroli we associate with older ladies’ perfumes; on my skin it smells like that. It’s not unpleasant but it wasn’t what I expected. I bought a 30ml bottle; I’m not sure if I’ll finish it but I’m certain I won’t be buying it again.
On the skin it smells like two strange sweets: chocolate eggs and those Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans from Harry Potter. A curious profile. It opens with dry strong grainy coffee that sweetens once the neroli kicks in. I love the first few hours: coffee with chocolate neroli and roses. It feels fresh almost expectorant clearing my nasal passages and I love that punch. I can identify every note. The vanilla is on its powdery side not too sweet or gourmand but it’s there. It performs with EDP potency and projects well for those first three hours. Totally unisex. Then comes the part I dislike most: a powdery musk (like in Intense Cafe) that reminds me of the strange taste of the ant candy. It smells perfect for autumn and winter. Although not sweet it’s very strong on coffee and neroli and envelops the wearer. It can get tiring in the heat. What I love and hardly anyone mentions is the bottle: perfect size I like holding it in my hand. Conclusion: if you’re looking for coffee and neroli this is it. You must try it first because of those strange accords that don’t suit everyone. I like it a lot despite the ant smell; I’ll use it more in the cold.
