Descripción

Can't Stop Loving You by Kilian is an oriental vanilla fragrance for women. Launched in 2023, this olfactive composition was created by Alberto Morillas. The top notes unfold with orange blossom and paradisone; the heart reveals honey, labdanum and styrax; while the base settles on oakmoss, Madagascar vanilla and frankincense.

  • I bought this blind based on the notes and fragrance family; I expected something more gourmand, well, I expected more of everything. It smells of very realistic orange blossom or orange flower, alongside Paradisone which gives it freshness and a citrus touch, enhancing its green side. The honey adds sweetness in just the right measure, but after a short while the affected and earthy aspect of the base notes becomes noticeable; I don’t perceive any vanilla. The longevity is very scarce, fading to skin-level in under an hour, lasting between 3-5 hours being optimistic. The scent is lovely if you like white florals you’ll enjoy it. But the longevity is very poor and the price too high for the performance. I’m not regretting owning it, but if I had tested it first, I probably wouldn’t have spent 235 euros for 50ml.

  • Smells beautiful, with an orange blossom opening note that takes centre stage. The honey makes it very attractive, caramelised and pleasant for lovers of sweet white florals like Love Don’t Be Shy. I appreciate a subtle touch of Sambac jasmine; perhaps it’s the Paradisone note that provides that reflection. To be honest, the trail is very weak and the longevity isn’t as long as I expected. After an hour and several minutes, it was clinging tightly to my skin with no projection whatsoever. The average longevity left much to be desired. A perfume at this price point cannot afford such flaws. In my case, I returned it and sent it back without a second thought. You can find something similar in the Elie Saab LE PARFUM line, even at a better price with superior quality. Disappointing.

  • Upon applying it, it seemed to me a blend of L’Intertit and Baccarat Rouge, with very dominant notes of jasmine or neroli. But it is true that after a few minutes, the orange blossom-honey note comes out more, similar to Elie Saab’s Parfum In White.

  • What a wonderful fragrance, Kilian brings us another marvel. At first, it smells of orange blossom (the one I loved so much in My Way) and gradually becomes sweet, almost with a liquor-like touch (perhaps because it’s by Kilian, like Angel’s Share), although I think it’s the honey that does it. On my skin, the longevity is normal, but I would recommend it more for evening wear or cold days (I insist, it doesn’t give me that liquor note). Nevertheless, for the price, I could still recommend My Way.

After falling in love with INTOXICATED, BLACK PHANTOM, LOVE DON’T BE SHY, VODKA ON THE ROCKS and my beloved ANGEL’S SHARE, I blindly trusted Kilian as the king of perfumes. But this time, although it smells rich, it falls short: it lacks that very personal touch that makes the others unique and prevents you from confusing them. The orange blossom comes out perfectly, followed by honey; on my skin, when the base notes arrive, the trail is very faint and lasts only about 3-4 hours. This time, Kilian wasn’t what I expected.
