I was keen to try this fragrance because of the popcorn note, but it did not work for me; tested and not approved. The popcorn note is overwhelmingly unpleasant throughout the entire wear, preventing me from appreciating the other notes properly. The opening is shrill and strong; in the dry down, the musk and tonka bean are just slightly distinguishable. I wonder if it is the heat, nearly 40 degrees in Madrid (24 June), but right now I do not fancy smelling as if someone had thrown sweet popcorn at me in the cinema. If you like fragrances with strong notes of toasted, salty nuts, or if you would love to smell as though you were making popcorn in the cinema café all day, give it a go. Longevity and projection are average. Review on my Instagram, TikTok and YouTube @probadoaprobado.

I wanted to try it for the popcorn note, but I didn’t like it. The corn note is overwhelmingly dominant and unpleasant throughout, drowning out everything else. The opening is harsh; in the dry-down, you can detect a bit of musk and tonka bean. Perhaps it’s the heat, nearly 40 degrees in Madrid on 24 June, but right now I don’t want to smell like someone’s thrown sweet popcorn at me in the cinema. If you enjoy fragrances with strong roasted nut notes or salty accords, or if you love the scent of popcorn being made in a cinema, give it a go. Lasting power and projection are moderate. • Oh, what a funny perfume. Let me tell you, it is quite an olfactory experience. Why? Because I have never before tried a scent that smells like Cheetos. I applied it to the back of my hand and the sensation was as if I had just been eating Cheetos, with that typical smell that lingers on your fingers after sucking them. In the dry down, it loses a bit of that sensation and becomes more ‘pleasant’. Listen, I found it curious and am even considering buying it sooner or later. It is quite a fantasy to imagine myself as a Cheeto with legs, and it leaves people in awe as you pass by xD Very original!

It’s a jumbo bottle of pure popcorn, and for me, it was a total hit because the Cheirosa fell short; this CM is powerful and not just for hot days. The moment I smelled it, I knew it was mine.

  • First impression: I approached it to test it out because of that popcorn note that caught my eye. Unfortunately, after spraying it, that is all I could detect: popcorn that was far too potent, coarse and artificial. I literally had to rush to wipe it off my skin. I cannot see who this could possibly appeal to… I don’t think it is even suitable as a room freshener.

Well, yes, it is totally a jumbo tub of popcorn, and for me it has been in the best possible way, as the Cheirosa left me wanting. This CM is indeed potent and definitely not for hot days. The moment I smelled it, I knew I wanted it.

  • It’s a fascinating olfactory experiment, but I wouldn’t buy it. It smells like bagged popcorn, that weird hybrid between a gummy worm and a popcorn kernel. I can’t say how it develops because I didn’t dare apply it to my skin, but if you’re after a popcorn scent, Cheirosa 71 with salted caramel and nuts is far more worthwhile, even though it has nothing to do with this one.

  • Very fun as an olfactory experience, but personally I wouldn’t buy it. It definitely smells like popcorn, specifically the kind that comes in a bag, a hybrid between gummy worms and popcorn. I don’t know how it evolves because I didn’t dare apply it to my skin, but if you’re looking for a popcorn scent, the Cheirosa 71 with salted caramel and nuts is well worth it, even though it has nothing to do with this.

  • On the plus side, I can say that even after washing my arm, rubbing it with soap and antibacterial gel, the scent didn’t leave until several hours after a shower. On the minus side: everything. It is a dreadful perfume. I never imagined saying that a perfume seemed horrible to me because I believe they all have their charm, but this one does. It is quite a disagreeable aroma.

  • When you see the notes, you think: it could be incredible. The reality? I smelled it months ago, straight from the bottle, and I promise you’ve never heard of such a nauseating opening; I literally smelled like sweaty socks in summer. I had to step back at the second. I waited to see if it would change once dry, but the rancid butter scent wouldn’t go away. So I consider it an ‘olfactory experience’ but nothing more. I don’t know what they were thinking at Zara to produce a perfume like this, as it has nothing to do with the niche market. A true olfactory experience could be Sadonaso by Nasomatto, but this Zara one is an absolute farce. I still can’t understand how others have liked it; it seems my nose hasn’t reached that level yet.

I think I’ll be the first positive review here, haha. I liked the perfume on its own; it reminds me a lot of the Happy Birthday body mist by BBW but with extra butter. However, I think it’s ideal for layering with another scent; it would be a good complement if you’re looking to boost another gourmand fragrance.

  • Carlaluna@777

I don’t understand why others find it nauseating; smell is subjective… but I absolutely love it and it lasts quite a while, so I’ll be buying it again when I finish this bottle 🤭.

  • What a delightful surprise! I bought it after testing it in-store and I loved it. It’s a very unusual scent: what they describe as popcorn is actually a milky, caramelised butter, very warm. It feels velvety thanks to the cashmere, almost greasy. It’s a real treat, very well crafted and creative. If you’re looking for an unconventional gourmand, I highly recommend it for such a low price.

I don’t understand why people call it horrible or nauseating; every nose is different… but I love it and it lasts quite a while, so I’ll be buying another bottle when this one runs out 🤭

  • This fragrance was a very pleasant surprise; I bought it after testing it in the store and I loved it. It is a very unusual scent. The smell described as popcorn is more of a very milky, sweet butter; it feels caramelised and very warm, almost velvety and greasy thanks to the cashmere. It is truly a delight, very well executed in a creative and unconventional way. If you have the opportunity and are looking for an unconventional gourmand, I highly recommend it, especially given the very low price.

  • It smells very sweet to me; at first, it’s chocolate, especially white, with notes of butter, musk, and praline. In the dry-down, a floral sap appears. It’s extremely sweet but didn’t put me off. It doesn’t last long, has a strong trail, but fades quickly.

  • It smells absolutely crazy sweet, especially white chocolate at the very top, with hints of butter, musk and praline. As it dries down, it takes on a floral sap-like quality. It’s super sweet but it doesn’t bother me. The trail is wide, although the scent doesn’t last very long.
