My sense of smell may not be the best, but Emir Celestial reminded me incredibly of Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather, only fresher with a toned-down leather note. I don’t know Ganymede to compare them, even if it’s called a clone, but I absolutely loved Emir; it feels very elegant and versatile for different climates, provided you measure the sprays.

  • To me, it smells fresh, perfect for hot days with that metallic touch. Above all, it reminds me of how new magazines smell at the start.

It’s more linear than Lattafa’s Masa but shares the same fruity, woody, and armoured vibe. Emir is less potent and more wearable, though it lasts over six hours; Masa performs better, so personally I’m sticking with Celestial. Both are cousins of Wajood, although the latter has more wood and moisture. On my skin, Celestial is more dampened and dries into a floral-herbal scent, while Masa remains fruity-mineral throughout, even when dry. I don’t see it as very summery or youthful given its density; I’m unsure of its original source, Ganymede. Try it first; it’s not a blind buy driven by hype or mainstream trends. It’s a good fruity fragrance, without excessive sweetness or office-appropriateness, featuring that mineral, dampened touch that competes with a hint of cloying sweetness. The price is equal to or cheaper than Pride Masa, so there’s no issue, just test which one you prefer. Best wishes, great year and aromas for 2025!💯 Beware of confusing it with Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather: the only similarity is the armoured quality, but here it’s a raw suede and potent, not an intense and refined leather.
