About Challenge Blue
Challenge Blue by Assaf: Bright Citrus Meets Smoky Woods
New for 2026, Challenge Blue from Assaf is offered for women and men as a three-part composition.
Top notes of bergamot, sage and pepper give way to rose, jasmine and tea, resting on guaiac wood, styrax and incense.
At first, the emphasis is on clarity. Sparkling bergamot is framed by aromatic sage, with pepper adding a dry, gently warming spice.
The heart takes a calmer, more infused turn. Rose and jasmine create a pale floral centre with a rosy tint, lightened by tea for a sheer, almost watery freshness.
The base brings the darker register to the fore. Smoky, dry guaiac wood meets balsamic styrax and incense, lending an ambery, contemplative warmth.
The overall palette spans fresh-spicy, aromatic and citrus highlights, white floral and rose nuances, and a woody, smoky, balsamic foundation with warm spice. It is a shared, well-balanced wear with no sweet excess.
It should appeal to those who favour citrus-aromatic openings that mellow into tea-like florals and finish with woods, balsam and incense.
Finished on guaiac, styrax and incense, Challenge Blue feels refined and measured, luminous at the start and cosily resinous at the close.
