Few perfumes in my collection relax me as much as Del Mar; it is so rich that I sometimes wear it to sleep. It is perfectly balanced, with no single note dominating the others, everything coexisting in harmony. I bought it from the perfumer at Day Three in MxScent, who told me it is inspired by the Dominican Republic’s sea. On smelling it, it does not smell like a tourist beach, but rather a virgin paradise in the middle of nature, a Caribbean island. I would describe it as marine, white floral, creamy, with a sweet touch and very clean. Because of this, its projection is modest; it is an intimate perfume that stays closer to the skin during its 6 to 8 hours of longevity.

What a rich fragrance! This is a bottle of beach holidays. The lime and coconut blend reminds me of Virgin Island Water, but without that alcoholic note the other has. It’s fresh, marine, sweet, and creamy—unisex, perfect for summer, informal, fun, and cheerful. I hope to add it to my collection soon.
