I fell in love at first sight with this Escada. I bought it blindly after reading good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Although the Fairy Love bottle is gorgeous, my undisputed queen is Desire Me. I’m a fan of gourmand scents and cold notes, so I always look for coffee in my perfumes. At first, I hesitated due to the citrus and green top notes, but on my skin the flowers soften and the coffee takes over, blending with chocolate and a creamy vanilla that reminds me of a caramel macchiato. It’s a rare combo on paper but a wonder on skin. If you like coffee-vanilla, don’t hesitate; it’s my signature scent. I’d rate it 10/10 for its quality and longevity, which is hard to find these days.
Not as sweet as Incredible Me; here the sweet notes are covered by the florals. It has a very cool bitter chocolate touch and a slight woody hint, even though no woods are listed. As far as I know, it’s already discontinued and hard to find, what a pity.
Olia is brilliant; it’s like Incredible Me but with the coffee note much more accentuated.
I bought it blindly looking for that gourmet coffee-shop aroma of a Monday morning. I expected a chocolate macchiato, but I stumbled upon something that smells of sweet coffee and chocolate, though dusted with an excess of florals and citrus. I was looking for something more intense, like a cube of water, and this frustrates me with so many little flowers, although it’s useful when I don’t know what to wear. It feels synthetic at first, but after three hours the flowers disappear and the chocolate and creamy vanilla remain. However, it has no sillage; it’s very intimate and doesn’t project. I wear it well in summer, pleasant but without intensity. I like it more now than at first, but I feel it lacks more chocolate, coffee, sweetness, and projection overall.
I felt disappointed when I tried it; I thought it would be something else but I was wrong. I like chocolate and coffee only for eating or drinking, and gourmand notes in perfumes aren’t to my liking. If anyone likes them: this is their perfume. Also, the longevity isn’t good at first and then it disappears.
