It sets out to smell just like a birthday cake, blending sponge, whipped cream, sugar and milk with vanilla, berries, white blossom, nuts and musk.
On the fruity side, black raspberry and raspberry lend juiciness and a gently sharp freshness. That lift keeps the sugary character bright rather than heavy.
The lactonic quality gives the texture. Whipped cream alongside cream, milk and butter recalls frosting and filling — thick, smooth and freshly whisked.
At its centre sit cake, sugar and vanilla, dusted with cocoa. The vanilla feels like sponge and icing: soft, sweet and bakery-like, not dry or spiced.
Orange blossom and jasmine provide the white floral element. They add a clean, faintly powdery lightness that balances the richness of milk and sugar.
