One and done… I adore Creed Wind Flowers, but the price is a real deterrent. I looked for reviews and found Ego, claimed to be an exact dupe. I hunted it down, grabbed a good deal, and bought it. I wore Creed on my left wrist and Armaf on the right; what I could smell most was the Armaf. It has that potent Arab fragrance strength, and I won’t deny that, but it lacks the quality and delicacy of Creed. They share notes, yet in Ego there’s a sharp, stinging aroma, likely the musk with peach and white flowers dominating everything… I can’t detect any neroli, iris, or praline… I won’t continue because I’m sure it will suit some, but it’s simply not comparable to Wind Flowers, unfortunately. I wish it were… If anyone’s interested, I’m selling it.
One and done… I love Creed Wind Flowers, but the price is insane. I looked for reviews and found Ego, which they say is an exact copy. I searched, caught a bargain, and bought it. I applied Creed to my left wrist and Armaf to the right… The one that smells strongest is the Armaf; it has that Arab potency and I won’t deny it, but it lacks the quality and delicacy of Creed. They share notes, yet in Ego there’s a sharp, stinging aroma, probably the musk with peach and white flowers dominating… I don’t smell any neroli, iris, or praline. I won’t go further because it might be loved by some, but it’s not comparable to Wind Flowers, unfortunately. I wish it were… If anyone’s interested, I’m selling it.
At first, it smells exquisite. The orange blossom is quite prominent, but with the sweet touch of peach. As it dries down, it evolves and the other flowers stand out, especially the neroli. Up to this point, for me, it’s perfect. The problem arises when it dries down, around an hour later, when that musk typical of some Arab fragrances emerges and, on my skin, it smells awful, making the perfume unsuitable for me. It happens with several scents I like but end up with that sour, unpleasant dry-down (like Ana Abiyedh and Rouat Al Musk from Lattafa, Zeno and Narcotic Flower from Maison Alhambra, or Shuhrah from Rasasi). If you’re lucky enough for that musk to work well on your skin and you enjoy sweet florals, it’s a good buy for its quality-to-price ratio (and despite the awful bottle).
Hello… I gifted it to my sister and she’s absolutely thrilled. The scent is lovely and noticeable from a distance… It starts soft and then explodes. It lasts for hours and smells divine.
