What an interesting perfume! A very unique fragrance, slightly challenging, perhaps not for every nose or for those just starting in niche perfumery, but very pleasant and, for me, above all, extremely elegant. This is Italian and Mediterranean elegance in a bottle. The note that stands out most on my skin is patchouli, but a sweet patchouli; combined with citrus, spices, and chocolate, it creates a very pleasurable sensation. The green notes and soft floral touches reinforce the fragrance’s own personality, making it more sparkling without ever losing its woody and spicy character. In the base, there is also guaiac wood, which adds a slightly smoky touch (when I first tried it, I thought it might be incense or some resin, or even something with tobacco or tar, but looking at the notes, it fits that it could be); and ambergris, which lends a certain ambered, animalic sweetness, even leaving a slightly soapy sensation when mixed with the spices. I think it’s a very versatile perfume. Although the opening might scare some people, the dry-down evolves into aromatic, fresh, even citrusy woods that are delicious. I’m not sure if it’s a perfume that invites compliments, but what is clear is that it dresses you from head to toe, perhaps a fragrance for a sector leaning towards maturity and to wear with relatively serious clothing (though, given its versatility, I see it as truly suitable for any season). The performance is extremely good, lasting more than eight hours on my skin, with quite good projection for nearly three hours. Although it’s not the type of scent I usually enjoy, and when I first tested it on blotting paper it was probably the least favourite from the collection, I must say that on skin it has gained many points. While it still isn’t my favourite from the brand, I certainly place it in a high-distinction range in terms of my personal taste, and an outstanding mark for quality.
